Electric Motorcycle Conversion

While my Aim Technologies MXP Strada is being repaired, I finally managed to hack the stock Yamaha R1 instrument cluster K Line protocol. I used an L9637D chip and interfaced it with an Arduino Nano R4, created a K Line Break out Board, programmed the Arduino and sent State of Charge derived from battery voltage, 110kmh and 65 degrees Celsius to the instrument cluster. Next step I will connect it to the Sevcon Controller CAN bus to receive battery voltage, motor temperature and speed.

Here is an update on progress with YZF R1 5VY conversion. The Aim Technologies MXP Strada 1.3 dash is being repaired, meanwhile I have placed my first iteration of the charge port in the bike.

Short morning ride out for a smoothie, black coffee and full English. Then these guys/ gals showed up. I ‘m blocked in but I don’t mind some of these bikes are really cool. Time for another coffee. I must get home for 13:00 though to put some free electricity back in the bike. Thanks 🐙 energy.

The XV535 project has been cancelled, the owner wishes to sell the bike.

The YZF600R plugged in and ready for charging in the next octopusenergy power up.

The YZFR1 project is nearing completion.

The question is what do I do with my parts for the XV535?

Hmm, when the XV535 goes I will have space for another project. My wife is showing an interest now, she is only 5’5”, what bike could I convert that would suit her?

I had a test ride of the Avenrà EV Evo. I recommend test riding it.
