What a fantastic first week back to gym! We have loved seeing everyone again! We have loved meeting so many new families this week and also seeing our adorable little preschoolers enjoying their first “big classes” 🥰

We at Ace want to congratulate our senior gymnast and coach, Ciaran, on his incredible performance at his baton twirling World Championships in Paris last week! Your routines were absolutely amazing Ciaran, we are all blown away by your talent, it’s insane! And you just get better and better!

I have been Ciarans gymnastics coach for 12 years now, and watching him grow up to be so strong and confident and successful has been a joy. I regard him as family.

To find out that he has been the victim of disgusting online abuse this week has shocked and deeply saddened me. I could not believe it, I’m horrified and I am sat here in awe of his strength and positive attitude today.

Ciaran is lucky to have such a massively strong support around him, we are all his biggest cheerleaders, he is such a popular and valued member of our club. But some people who are victims of such vile online abuse may not have the same support and this awful behaviour might be too much for some people to take.

If you ever experience any kind of online abuse, please report it, please tell someone. This cannot be the new normal.

Ciaran, you are an incredible human. You are talented, kind, you literally light up a dark room. Ace would not be the same without you. We will always be your biggest supporters and we can’t wait to watch you continue to chase and achieve all your dreams at the top level 💪🏼🏆
