AC vs Jeanfield

Pre-season gives us a chance to take out a different formation today which in truth took the kids 15-20 minutes to settle into Jeanfield flew into a demanding lead going into HT -0-6 down, with a couple of tweaks at the break seen us start to fight and a lot more communication and little more aggression seen Lego pull a goal back, 20 minutes remaining and a couple of changes seen the new front pairing of Lee & Cheese with an instant impact with an amazing ball in from Bambi with Lee latching on the ball and send it past the keeper, lots of work to do before the season starts but we all have to start somewhere well done kids proud of the effort today. 🔴⚪️🟡

Great squad performance today from Inter on what was Xander’s last game before he moves and didn’t take him long to pick up the ball on the halfway line, determined direct run through the centre of the pitch to finish with a nice strike for outside the box high to the goalkeeper left to put Inter 1-0 up. Cole added a second shortly after with a looping strike from well outside the box. Kinross pulled one back just before halftime.
Kinross come out for the second half and with hard work flipped the scoreline to 3-2.
Inter pressed on to get a goal back to 3-3 then the game opened up to end up 5-5 with ten minutes to go. Inter kept pressing and two goals towards the end putting Inter 7-5 up was enough to finish with the win.
Great hard work from the players, battled on to get the reward.
Xander was captain and earned one of the POTM as well as a guard of honour as he left the field.

Match report
Inter 3 v 2 Breadalbane
Fast start from Breadalbane to take an early two goal lead. Inter managed to keep their heads and a good couple of saves from Fraser to keep it at 2-0. Couple of minutes later Inter got a goal back with Cole finishing after a well worked moved. Half time Inter come out with more spirit and worked hard to get the ball back. Matteo picked up the ball out wide right dribbled forward and hit a looping shot that went in at the back post to make it 2-2. As the game was coming to a close there was a lot of tackles coming in and Inter continued to press to win a corner with the last kick of the ball. Initial cross in went right over but was then recycled from the right crossed back in for Arran in the middle who finished with a great header to the goalkeepers left.
All round great performance from the team, a lot of hard work put in for their first 11 a side game. Proud of everyone.

3pm and all is well!!! AC made the journey to Kelty Hearts today in there first 11’s pre-season friendly and as the referee’s whistle blew it sounded more like a school bell ringing to start lessons.

Playing against an amazing Kelty team was tough however this is what pre-season is for and the kids found out quickly that we ain’t in Kansas anymore 😂 honestly so proud of all the kids today as the attitude change at half time to “giving up is not an option” came ringing through.
