And they’re DONE!!! 🏁
DAY 13, the final day of the journey saw the trio make it to Dunnet Head. 🗾
Starting just under two weeks ago at Lizard Point (the most southern point of mainland UK) and ending today at Dunnet Head (the most northern point of mainland UK) via LEJoG (Lands End to John O’Groats). They have absolutely SMASHED it! 🔥
They covered 1004 miles / 1616 km and climbed 57,802 ft just short of scaling Mount Everest TWO TIMES over! 🤯
Over the last thirteen days they have cycled in THREE countries; England, Wales and Scotland. Passed three UHI campuses, stopped off at Arlene’s old stomping ground RAF Cosford and rode over many bridges. 🚴♂️
They also surpassed their target of £1,500 for the PKD charity! 💪
Now they are heading home for a well deserved rest. 💤
The team wanted to thank everyone who has followed along the journey, donated, spread the word and shared kind messages of encouragement. 🥰
Everyone at ASW are beyond proud of our amazing fitness manager and inspirational members Arlene, Michael and Heather - WELL DONE! 👏🏻
Here are some pictures and videos of the team reaching Dunnet Head and John O’Groats as well as Arlene getting a big surprise from Mum and Dad. ❤️
Thanks again to Bruce for capturing all of these special moments and supporting the team the whole way. 📸
