The Reds were back in action tonight, away to Kinross Whites on a miserable rainy night — but after Sunday’s win, the boys were BUZZING to get back out there! 💪🔴

🚀 WHAT A START!

The boys came flying out the blocks, giving Kinross absolutely NO TIME on the ball! Some fantastic football was being played, with the Reds moving the ball brilliantly and creating chance after chance.

It wasn’t long before our IN-FORM STRIKER JAXON found the net again! 🔥⚽️

Kinross tried to fight their way back into the game, but our defence stood strong and Andrew was solid between the sticks! 🧤💪

The midfield worked their socks off, creating some fantastic chances — and the boys took them brilliantly!

Kinross managed to pull a couple back, but there was NO PANIC from the Reds! 💪 The boys kept battling, working hard and pushing right until the final whistle. 👊🔴

A really good all round team performance from the boys from the back to the front. A little shaky at the start, after going a goal up, From there on they completely controlled the game. Results are obviously good but some of the football was sublime. Pick of the goals for me was Jambo’s first. A neat finish being in the right place at the right time, but 6 crisp quick passes right from the back through the whole pitch in the blink of an eye, shows how simple football can be and was a pleasure to watch. Goals from Keir, Connor, Murray, Jambo (2) and Josh (3) saw the boys come out 8-4 winners. Really good and mature performance all round. ⚽️⚽️

Players of the match Went to Euan C and Josh. Great contributions from Euan with a hatful of assists and Josh was everywhere orchestrating the play. Well done boys, a pleasure to watch. Next game Sunday for the regional cup! 💙🤍🏆

Fair City 2013 Blues were back in action on Sunday against Letham Whites. A tough game against strong opposition. Whilst a few things didn’t go the boys way, they dug in to produce a good performance, taking all 3 points, with a 3-1 Win for the Blues. Lots of learning to take forward into training this week, to prepare for our next match, but overall a good all round team performance with goals scored by Luke, Jack and Josh.

🛑 REDS AT HOME VS SCONE WHITES 🛑

After getting the first 3 points on Wednesday night, the Reds were right up for our game this morning against Scone — always a tough game! 💪🔴

The Reds came out strong, but it was Scone who took the lead. The boys’ heads never dropped and they battled hard to make it 1-1. Some lovely football then saw us go 2-1 up, but it wasn’t long before Scone found an equaliser to make it 2-2.

The Reds kept pushing and scored again just before half time to go into the break 3-2 up! 🔥

🔴 SECOND HALF 🔴

The Reds started the second half much like they finished the first, pushing forward and putting Scone under pressure. It wasn’t long before we made it 4-2.

Scone kept pushing, but our defence and midfield held strong, with some outstanding saves from Andrew (The Monk) keeping us in the game! 🧤👏

We kept pushing for another goal, and the link-up play between our midfield and strikers was an absolute dream to watch. ⚽️❤️

We then made it 5-2, before a corner took a deflection off a Scone player and went in to make it 6-2 just before the final whistle! 🔥

(League Cup)

Unfortunately another defeat for the lads. Recently our performances haven’t been up to scratch but today we made a real game of it and although we came away with nothing we’re proud of the efforts of all the team.

We started the game looking to keep things tight and stay in the match and had it not of been for a couple of poor moments and a lack of apparent willingness to defend properly we could have prevented going into the break 3 down. We also missed a great chance ourselves midway through the half.
These moments against good teams will always punish you. We’re finding that out the hard way lately.

Although 3 down at the break we were still in the game……just!

With a change of shape out we came. No point continuing as we were as we needed goals.

Our first half was full of effort and spirit but now we were playing with much more attacking threat.
We’d score, deservedly, when Liam finished well after Rhydian’s jinking run into the box. Think he took on half of Fife before squaring the ball to Liam. Cracking goal.

This galvanised us and we’d go on to create several great chances, we were making the visiting GK work and on another day, with a little bit of luck we might have got something from the game. Although our goal did live a charmed life on a few occasions 😂

It must be said that East Fife were a constant threat and they have a group of talented players who know how to play.

We’ve struggled lately and it’s hard but today every lad in blue gave everything. We all hate getting beat but keep playing the way we did today and we will get our rewards. A step in the right direction for sure.
