This weekend saw the playing of The Generations Trophy at Evesham Golf Club. It’s a Greensomes Stableford competition for family members to play together and it was great to see members and visitors alike taking part and ticking off many many different combinations of family relationship, mothers and daughters, fathers and sons, uncles and nephews, mothers and son in laws etc.
Our overall winners, scoring a terrific 45 points were new Evesham members, Stuart and Luke Davis, a father and son combination and it was great to see them pick up their 1st trophy at the club from our Club Captain Mark Adams. Congratulations guys, and here’s to more wins in the future 🍻👏🏆

Today saw the playing of the Bill Onion Trophy and the September Medal at Evesham Golf Club. The Div 3 medal winner was Paul Walker with a net 68. The Div 2 medal winner was Anthony Bees with a net 71. The Div 1 medal winner was Stuart Ridley with a net 69.
With the handicap capped at 18 for the Bill Onion Trophy our overall winner was Stuart Ridley who can be seen receiving the trophy from our Club Captain, Mark Adams. Very well played today Stuart, solid golf from 1 to 18 👏👏⛳️🏆 Congratulations to all of our winners today 👏👏

Some of the ladies braved the heavy rain yesterday! Congratulations to Conryn Abbott who won the Greenhill Trophy with 16 points over 9 holes. The September Trophy was won by Susie Billings over 18 holes with 29 points.

On Monday 7th September, Evesham golf club held the Senior Mens Mike Morris Foursomes event. It's an 18 hole pairs stableford competition played off the yellow tees. Each member of the team, tee off at alternate holes and then play alternately until they hole out. Today's competition was won by Senior Mens Captain Dave Rose and his partner Ian Baird with a points score of 37. Pictured receiving their trophies from Seniors Vice Captain Trevor Hocking.

Today saw the playing of the Ray Gray Mixed Pairs Open at Evesham Golf Club. The competition is a Fourball Betterball Stableford event. Whilst the day started with plentiful rain, it finished with bright sunshine and the presentation to our winners was able to be enjoyed on the patio. Our winners today were Anthony Rock and Gavin Griffiths with a score of 45. Well played both 👏👏👏 Anthony can be seen in the photo receiving the trophy on behalf of himself and his playing partner Gavin from our Club Captain Mark Adams. 2nd place went to Paul Sharpe and Mike Callaghan scoring 44 and 3rd place went to Jeremy Saunders and Darren Nightingale scoring 43. Our best man and woman team winners were Ruth Masters and Carl Icke scoring 37

Today saw the playing of the Pete Callaghan Trophy at Evesham Golf Club. A strong field enjoyed the golf, sunshine and hospitality, sharing fond memories of Pete on the patio after their rounds.
We had 3 players all on 37 points today, having split them via count back…
3rd place went to Rob Culley
2nd place went to Anthony Rock

1st place went to Simon Edwards, who scored a very impressive 22 on the back 9.

On Wednesday 12 August the Senior Men held their annual Wychavon Challenge Cup at Evesham Golf Club. It is a chosen pairs, Betterball competition played off the white tees. On another hot sunny day 28 seniors competed for the cup. One point separated the top 5 pairings. It was won by Dave Bushell and Vice Captain Trevor Hocking with a net score of 64, beating Dave Higgins and John Hope on nett 65 from Mel Wathen and Bill McCaig also 65. The winning pair are shown being presented with their trophy by Seniors Captain Dave Rose.

Saturday 8th August saw the playing of this year’s Evesham Golf Club Men’s Open. A full capacity field enjoyed the good weather, hospitality and some good long roll on the fairways! Prizes were available for both Gross and Net scores along with other spot prizes as detailed below.

2nd place went to Pete Stanley also with a net 68 but beaten on count back.

5th place was Alister MacDonald with 69
6th place went to Ben Metrovich with 70 (The Vale Golf and Country Club)
