As we count down to the start of the 2026/27 season, we’re introducing a few of the players pulling on the Old Penarthians shirt this year.

Next up, meet our Vice Captain, Ieuan Harris 💪

At 21, Ieuan has three seasons of senior rugby under his belt, playing at fullback and centre.

His favourite supporter? DLP, Dan Jones 👏
Worst drinker? Rhys Stout 🍺😂
And his favourite player...the Try Machine!

And who better to start with than our captain for the season ahead…

First up: James Reynolds 💪💙💛

James will be captaining the Men’s 1st XV for the 2026/27 season, with four seasons of senior rugby already under his belt.

Old Penarthians RFC members can now apply for tickets for Wales’ two home games at the Principality Stadium:

Kick-off 2.10pm

Saturday 6 March 2027
Kick-off 4.40pm

As a WRU-affiliated club, we can apply for tickets on behalf of our members before they go on general sale.

🏃‍♀️🏅 BANK HOLIDAY FAMILY FUN DAY AT THE OLD PENARTHIANS! 🏅🏃‍♂️

Get ready for a proper old-school sports day with a Bank Holiday twist! 🎉

We’ll have scheduled races throughout the afternoon for all ages, so bring the whole family and get ready to run, jump, laugh and compete! 🥇

And, of course, we couldn’t do a sports day without adding a little adult twist to the mix! 🍻😜 There’ll be some races and challenges guaranteed to get the grown-ups involved too!

‼️🚨MEN’S WORLD CUP SQUAD SELECTION🚨‼️

We are proud to announce our senior Men’s squad selected to represent Wales Deaf Rugby at the World Deaf Rugby Sevens World Championships in Tokyo this Autumn! 🇯🇵🏉🏆🦻

Congratulations/llongyfarchiadau to every player named. 👏👏

Help us get our reigning World Champions to Tokyo! ✈️💸

As a self-funded squad, our players and support staff have to cover their own travel and tournament costs. Without support, some face the heartbreaking risk of missing out due to financial barriers.

🏋️‍♀️ A reminder that all gym and squash memberships are due by Friday 31 July.

We are allowing a two-week grace period, but any membership not renewed and paid for by 15 August will have its access fob deactivated.
