Peebles Festival of Sevens

After a break in the weather on Saturday, the sun returned on Sunday to shine on a fantastic Colts Tournament.
Melrose Rugby Club were denied a treble when they didn't send a team. We're happy to report that our Colts won a very well contested final against a strong Boroughmuir outfit.

When teams call off, it's up to the host Club to step up & fill the gaps. Our lads went above & beyond to make sure the tournament on Saturday went ahead. Melrose Rugby Club & Boroughmuir provided players to form a President's 7 with some of our front row boys. Our 2nd XV Reds (here in our blue away strip) had a blast and it was great to see young Louis Whyte running out (& scoring) for the 1st 7. Tom Weir had a great tournament running in 5 tries.
