A therapeutic night in the bold PKA. Pads, pads, bags and some naughty conditioning to cap off a Friday. An absolute sweat fest from start to finish! Well done team. Remember we’ve got Our Hendos stag do tomorrow so no classes in Ruggy BUT there is the 50 round sparathon on Sunday. You know it makes sense troops.

Wild Wednesday in the bag. Love a packed night of martial arts. The kids really set the tone with their crazy energy and work rate then the seniors capped the night off with some high paced drilling, bags and some spicy burnouts on the bags. The attitude and effort from our new starts to our vets and fighters. Everyone training for different reasons but all moving forward as one is what it’s all about here.

The kids have been amazing in every class this week. We often show highlights, cool combos and kids generally being mega little people but that’s never always the case.

They can be emotional little teddy bears after a bad day or week in school and their martial arts class can be a true sanctuary from the stresses of their lives. This is why we get them hitting the bags, let them play some games in between bouts of padwork and skill development, Sometimes they might just need a calm voice, made to laugh or even a kick up the arse to move them on but the team always strives to make each class a massively positive experience for each and every child that comes through our doors.

So, if you have a child that is stressed by school, fed up of them sitting on the couch and doing nothing or even want to get a head start on a new activity then please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Act now and do something their future selves will thank you for 🤝🥊🥋

Pushing yourself outside your comfort zone is where the magic happens. It sounds cliche but we have seen it happen too many times now and the individuals that strive to seek out discomfort and hardship tend to do better in life. Work is easier, relationships are easier and everyday problems seem much easier to deal with.

Well done tonight team, the effort was through the roof.

Absolute highlight for me is the kids classes. Always fun, always full of beans, can often be a task akin to herding stray cats 😂 but it’s a true labour of love. It’s not just the martial arts skills they are learning, they’re also developing;

-Confidence
-The ability to try new things
-Becoming Fit
-Learning to be team players
-Independence
-Healthy habits
-Friendships in a fun, safe and nurturing environment

All these things naturally happen in the classes with even the shyest child getting involved and being made to feel part of something from their very first session.
