Clyde Judo Club

Clyde Judo Club Clyde Judo are Renfrewshire's largest judo club and offer sessions for both children and adults.

Clyde Judo meets in various locations across Renfrewshire and Glasgow and welcomes children (from 5 years old and above) and adults. The club (which is non-profit) teaches:

Judo skills and techniques
Trains players to pass the national grading tests
Supports players who wish to enter Judo competitions

AA Born 2018, 2017,2016 & A Born 2015, 2014 Weigh in 11:00 to 11:30
All Kyu Grades and Youth -14 12:00 to 12:30

As we are running the Dan grade section first, we would encourage the younger players to come along and support their club mates fighting. This is an excellent opportunity to see the experienced players in action and get a better understanding of where all the training is leading.

Everyone fought so well, and there’s lots to learn and take away from this one. 💪

But it wasn’t just the judo that made us proud. 🤍 The team spirit was fantastic, with our older players supporting the younger ones, everyone cheering each other on and picking each other back up.

That’s what judo is all about. 🥋

Huge congratulations to Rebecca Lamb on winning Gold at the Ecole Mont-Olivet Lausanne Grand Slam in the L1 -52kg adaptive category 🥋🏆

A history-making event and the first of its kind in the world, creating new opportunities and making judo more accessible through adaptive competition.

Already the British Champion, European Champion and a member of the GB Adaptive International Squad, Rebecca continues to break barriers and inspire through her hard work, dedication and determination.

Our amazing girls on the BBC One Show this week!! 🌟

No words can express how proud we are of our incredible community of girls. Every single one of you is amazing. The encouragement, support and kindness you show each other week in, week out is truly inspiring, and it’s what makes our club so special.

A special shoutout to Aria, Abigail, Cat and Hayley for being brave and confident enough to stand in front of producers and camera crew to share your stories. You represented the club brilliantly, and we hope you’ve inspired even more girls and women to get involved in sport.

A huge thank you to Sarah for giving our girls an experience they’ll never forget and for helping shine a light on the importance of girls in sport.
