St. Convals Blacks 2012’s We are a grassroots football team playing in the Paisley & District Youth 2012 League. Leading the way are our coaches Connor, Steven, Chic and Adrian.

They ensure our group of players show their very best self each week at training and on the park.

Next weekend marks the final chapter for Connies as the team take to the pitch for the last time together.

From the early days to now, the players have grown together, shared so many amazing memories and built strong friendships.

Saturday’s match gives the coaches, players and parents the opportunity to reflect on an incredible journey, enjoy the occasion and be proud of everything this group has achieved together.

𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗠 𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 🆕

It is with a heavy heart that we can announce St Convals Blacks 2012’s will be folding after our final league game next weekend.

This was not an easy decision and we’re truly sorry that it has come to this. We have tried very hard to recruit new players but this has proven extremely difficult this late on in the season.

We want to say a massive thank you to all the players for all their hard work, effort and commitment and to the parents and sponsors who have supported the team every step of the way.

It’s been an incredible journey, the memories created on and off the pitch will never be forgotten.

We are planning on having our presentation night in the next few weeks so everyone can get together for a proper goodbye. We’d love to see you all there!

We want to say a massive thank you and farewell to our midfielder, James Gray who played his final game for the team this morning.

Our wee midfield maestro, so skillful on the ball, always gives you 100% in training and on matchdays.

We’ll miss him and his trademark cartwheel goal celebrations 😅

It’s been a challenging week for the squad after seeing a few of their teammates moving on so we knew today was going to be a big ask.

Despite the heavy defeat, the players kept battling, showed great attitude and supported each other throughout the game.

A great run and finish from Trevor to equalise before half time, his 13th goal of the season.

A tough result but a standout performance from our goalkeeper, Roary. He was absolutely superb, pulling off numerous saves to keep us in the game and showing real bravery and composure throughout

Special mention to Keelan who stepped up into an unfamiliar role at centre half when the team needed him. Calm on the ball, strong in the tackle and a real leader at the back. An excellent performance.

𝗨𝗣 𝗡𝗘𝗫𝗧 ⌛️

Connies are back in league action this weekend with a home fixture against BSC Glasgow.

The team will be looking to build on their strong start to the year having lost only one out of the last five games, 10 points from a possible 15.

Our previous meeting with BSC Glasgow came on the opening day of the season with Connies winning the match 7-1 thanks to goals from Jaydon X3, James X2 and Shabba X2.
