🏆✨ LADIES CHAMPIONSHIP 2026 ✨🏆

Following a short break, the bowls continued on Sunday afternoon where we saw the final major competition in the Ladies calendar — the Ladies Championship itself.

Reigning champion from both 2024 and 2025, Abbie Harris, was taking on Cheryl Gibb in this year’s final.

Abbie started the game strongly and quickly found her rhythm. Cheryl battled hard throughout, but Abbie continued to produce some excellent bowls and pushed on to secure the title once again.

A huge congratulations to Abbie Harris, who is crowned Ladies Champion for the third consecutive year — a phenomenal achievement and one to be very proud of. 👏👏👏

And a big well done to Cheryl Gibb on reaching the Championship Final, which is also a fantastic achievement in itself.

A big thank you also to Roger Black for marking both finals on Sunday. 👏👏👏

🏆✨ LADIES SILVER CHAMPION 2026 ✨🏆

On Sunday, the final of the Ladies Silver was played, with reigning champion Abbie Harris taking on Anne Marie Cullen.

The Ladies Silver is contested by players who have previously won one of the main Ladies competitions, so the standard of bowls is always extremely high — and Sunday’s final was no exception! 👏

Anne Marie started the game strongly and put Abbie under plenty of pressure, but Abbie produced some fantastic bowls to turn the game around, move ahead and once again claim the title. 🌟

👏 A big well done to Anne Marie Cullen on reaching the final and pushing the defending champion all the way.

🎉🏆 And a huge congratulations to Abbie Harris, who successfully retains the Ladies Silver and is crowned our 2026 Ladies Silver Champion!

A fantastic achievement and another trophy for Abbie — very well deserved! 👏👏👏

🏆 SENIORS PRESIDENTS CUP 🏆

Yesterday our Seniors took to the green to play for the Presidents Cup.

👏 Congratulations to Gerry Quigley and Past President Stuart Brown on coming through to take the trophy!

A big thank you also to Stuart Clark, another former President of the club, for making the presentation. 👏

Well done to everyone who took part and congratulations again to our 2026 Seniors Presidents Cup winners! 🏆🔴🔵🟡

🏆 SENIORS 2 BOWL SINGLES 🏆

Last week saw the final of the Seniors 2 Bowl Singles, with Iain Redmond taking on Stuart Clark.

It turned out to be an extremely close contest, with very little separating the two players. The match eventually went all the way to a tie-break, before Iain came through on the 3rd end of the tie-break to lift the trophy! 👏

Hard lines to Stuart Clark, but very well done on reaching the final and being part of such a close game.

Today sees the final games of our 2026 outdoor season at Ralston Bowling Club, with two Ladies Finals bringing the season to a close. ❤️💙💛

🏆 Govan League Champion of Champions 🏆

Today we had the Honour of hosting the Govan League Champion of Champions Semi-finals and Finals with Robert Fraser as the Govan League President.
It was Hardlines to our own two teams this morning Ryan Kerr in the Junior Singles and the Senior Fours.
Congratulations to all the Winners this afternoon in what were difficult conditions, between the wind and rain and surface water 🙈 (unfortunately you cant plan for the weather thats for sure) commiserations to the runners up.
That wraps up the Gents outdoor season for another year. Well done to all the players Internally and Externally, onwards and upwards to 2027 😃👍

🏆 GOVAN LEAGUE CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS 🏆

Ralston Bowling Club are delighted to be hosting the Semi-Finals and Finals of the Govan League Champion of Champions this Saturday.

The Semi-Finals get underway at 10am, with the Finals taking place from 2pm.

We’re especially proud to have Ralston players qualified in both the Junior Singles and Senior Fours, and they’d love to see a big home support cheering them on! 👏

It promises to be a fantastic day of bowls, with some first-class bowling on show throughout the day.
