Ralston Skills Centre We are a community sports club providing inclusive, healthy and enjoyable physical activity for school aged children every Saturday morning. All welcome.

We offer a wide range of different sports and volunteering opportunities. Come and join the fun! Ralston Skills is a community based sports club for kids from ages 5 to 17. Every Saturday (during the school term) at 9.30am till 11.00am at the Penilee Pavilion (Ralston Community Sports Centre). A small fee of £5 would be required and with this your child would get a drink and snack at half time. This also covers the cost of the park and other expenses. Parents willing to help out with the coaching are also more than welcome!

Hi all. A quick post about Skills over the next month. Our norm is to run in line with school term time as availability of coaches is impacted by school holidays.
With this in mind and considering coaches availability we won’t be running on 26th September (September weekend) or 10th and 17th October (mid term holiday).
We’ll be running on 3rd October and returning to the weekly rhythm from 24th October.
Perhaps you can share with other parents who may not check the page?

Morning all. Someone has mistakenly taken a Rangers boot bag with its contents at the end of Skills today. The bag belongs to Glen Gallie. Please contact me if you find that your child has taken this bag and I’ll arrange for it to be returned.

Hi all. We’ve had a great start to the new season with over 40 kids at both of our sessions so far.
A big thanks to the coaches for giving up their time. Due to kids moving on and my own son shortly departing for England we need to keep refreshing coaches. Ideally we need a minimum of 6 coaches per session.
Parents giving up time to help is what makes Skills and keeps us going. If anyone is prepared to help out this season you’re more than welcome.

Hi all. With Summer holidays coming to an end thoughts will be turning to the return to school and a more normal routine.
One aspect of this routine could be Ralston Skills.
We plan to return in 22 August.
Same time (0930 Saturday mornings during term time),same routine and same price (£5 per child)
Please mark your calendar.
A registration form will need to be filled out so please give yourself some more time.
Please spread the word amongst your social networks.
We look forward to welcoming the children back for another season.

Hi all. This Saturday will be the last Skills session of the 25/26 season. Thanks to all for another successful year.
We’ll have the usual set up for P1’s to P3’s but will have a tournament for all other age groups.
Parents are invited to come along and participate in the tournament. For those of you lacing up the Adidas Samba’s please bear in mind that the game is for the kids- not for you to show off your inner McTominey!
We’ll conclude with a medals ceremony at the end - phones at the ready for photos. See you all on Saturday.

Morning folks. Sorry for the late notice but Skills is off today. There has been a mix up with bookings that we’re looking into.

Hi all. A quick heads up about the Easter break. With schools closing for a number of weeks we’ll be taking a break as well. The plan is to return on Saturday 18th April. Please pass the word.
If you’re looking for something for your kids to do over the break, the Community Council has arranged for M3 Ballers to run an Easter Camp at the Ralston pitch.
See attached leaflet for details as well as information on other activities for the Centre.
