Imagine telling a 13-year-old footballer they have to find £30,000 just to be allowed to play.
No club funding.
No guaranteed pitch.
No kit.
No team covering the costs.
No turning up on Saturday unless the money is in the bank.
Sounds completely ridiculous, right?
Welcome to motorsport. 🏁
Motorsport is one of the few sports where the athlete can be genuinely talented, work incredibly hard, outperform the competition — and still be sat at home because they can't afford their place on the grid.
A footballer wants to progress?
They need talent.
A young racing driver wants to progress?
They need talent AND a budget.
And the further they progress, the bigger the bill becomes.
Karting can mean thousands upon thousands of pounds just to race for a season.
Then comes cars.
And suddenly the numbers can become tens or even hundreds of thousands of pounds.
Imagine if football worked that way.
“Congratulations, you've been selected for the academy.
That'll be £50,000 please.”
People would be outraged.
Yet in motorsport, we somehow accept it as normal.
And here's the uncomfortable truth:
There are talented drivers who never get to find out how good they could have been — simply because they couldn't afford to keep going.
That's why sponsorship matters.
Not because a company gets a sticker on a kart.
Not because we're asking businesses to “give money to a racing driver.”
It's about giving talent an opportunity that money alone shouldn't decide.
Because the question shouldn't be:
“How much money does your family have?”
It should be:
“How good are you?”
That's the conversation we want to change.

Not the weekend we had planned but we dealt with it
Friday practice
i made a error trying to overtake on the wrong side which sent me onto 2 wheels spun out into the tyres and through me out the kart 🙈 dad fixed it got me straight back out .
Saturday heat 1 got caught up in utter carnage which i ended up with a bent chassis,bent fuel tank holder ,bent steering colum, stub axle , track rod , and a sore leg as i was driven over 🙈 massive shout out to paul from ms karting who got my kart straight for the second time we cant thank you enough . Missed heat 2 as too much to do to get back out .

Final p7 but got a penalty so ended p10

Get the crashing out the way today hit the tyres hard throwing me out the kart first session, bent lots of things 🙈 but dad got me back out after dinner so praying for a safe weekend moving forward. i will post the live stream tomorrow and sunday if you wanna tune in. for now heres a little sneak speak of me side wheeling it 🙈 much to mums horror

We approached Van Fit Solutions to customise our van because we were fed up with everything being thrown everywhere. Anyone involved in karting knows what busy race weekends are like — there's so much equipment to carry, and everything needs its own place.
We spoke to Andy at Van Fit Solutions, who was absolutely brilliant. I gave him an idea of what we wanted, and he pretty much nailed it straight away, with a few extra tweaks added once we got there. We honestly can't thank them enough — they went above and beyond for us.
In the words of our Adam: "OMG, it looks sick!" And he wasn't wrong!
