The results are official! SABC entered 7 crews into Summer Eights 2026 - M1, M2, M3, W1, W2, W3, and our first ever W4 in the club’s history. W4 unfortunately narrowly missed the qualifying time but the 6 senior crews did qualify!

The club produced the best results it has ever produced, achieving a total 15 bumps from our W1, W2, W3, M1 and M2 combined, with the top 4 crews not being bumped this eights. Our W1 are now positioned 2 places away from Division 1 and will be setting their eyes on a grand return to the Top Women’s Division next year. The M1 achieved blades for the first time since 2011, making this the 6th time they have achieved Eight’s blades in the club’s history. M2 is in the highest position it has been in 10 years, and has now gone 13 racing days without being bumped. The W2 are on the cusp of bumping into division 5, and have now gone 15 consecutive racing days without being bumped. M3 and W3 racing on the river simultaneously has only happened twice in SABC’s entire 120 year history.

We are so proud of all of our crews and look forward to even better results next year. Yeah Anne’s 💪💪
