A little reminder that there will be no karate classes on Monday 7 September due to St Giles’ Fair. Tuesday class is on as usual.

All other classes are running as normal.

RETURNING TO KARATE THIS SEPTEMBER? 🥋

Dear Parents,

If you stopped karate for any reason, you are always, and I mean ALWAYS, welcome back.

For the first few weeks, please pretend you're brand new 😄 and book by AGE, not grade.

Your old place may already be taken, so please choose another available class for now. I'll try to get you back into your preferred class once the September rush is over, but for now all lessons must be pre-booked and definitely no drop-ins. The last thing I want is to turn you away because you've booked the wrong class. Awkward for everyone. 😬

If none of the slots work, keep an eye on the website. Spaces come up as we work through trials, assessments and placements. Or just ask if you're unsure. My phone is on until late and I'm picking up all messages myself this month.

Can't see the class you'd like to join, or the age restriction doesn't allow you to book?

Please get in touch rather than booking a class for a different age group. I'm personally picking up all messages and emails this month and, even with the busy start to the new term, I still have some flexibility.

For children 7+, we have classes six days a week with more times available.

Come and try a class for free. No previous experience needed.

Very happy with the AA breakdown service. You guys are amazing! My car is back on the road with a new battery and a 5-year warranty.

A separate shout-out to my lovely neighbour, who rescued me and drove me to karate on Saturday morning with about three minutes' notice to get ready. 😂

And thank you so much to our members who offered lifts and to help with the cost. I was really touched by the kindness. ❤️

A little summer reminder

St Margaret’s Institute is closed for maintenance, so our Jericho classes are temporarily closed.

From today, 7 August, until 22 August, our summer classes are:

🥋 Wednesday, Summertown
5–6pm and 6–7pm

🥋 Saturday, Botley
10–11am and 11am–12pm

If your usual Jericho class is affected, you’re very welcome to join us at either location.

HARVEST SHOW-OFF - First tomato of the year. Total cost: about £70 per item (including soil, stuff, time, love and care). Will definitely do it again next year! 😁
