The Wolstenholme Trophy 2nd leg was played at Oswestry GC 20 Sep 26.
Going into the 2nd leg Oswestry were trailing 12.5 to 5.5 which was a significant deficit following the 1st match held earlier in the year “up the hill”. However, the team really showed up for our Captain and produced a fine performance, winning 11.5 to 6.5 on the day.
Despite this majestic home performance, we fell just short with Llanymynech retaining the trophy winning 19 - 17 over both matches.
We look forward to next years fixtures where we will endeavour to return the trophy to the Oswestry Trophy cabinet…. 🏌️‍♂️

A fantastic turn out for the 2026 Junior Presentation Evening.
Many thanks to all for your support throughout the year, with special mention to all our organisers and helpers.
The raffle raised £415 will all money going back into the junior fund for 2027. Well done all and keep on golfing 🏌️‍♂️

Another successful year concludes tonight for our Junior section.
Wishing everyone a great evening and a huge thanks to all those involved in organising and running all evenings and events over the year. 🏌️‍♂️

Unfortunately our ladies lost in the scratch final to a very strong Shifnal Team, going down 3-0 in the final.
Despite the disappointment, there was a positive accolade for Vicky, winning a prize for securing the most points won in the qualifying division.
Ladies, you all did us proud…..🏌️‍♂️

Wishing our Ladies scratch team all the very best wishes as they tee it up in the scratch league final tomorrow at Lilleshall GC.
A difficult match against opponents Shifnal will test our team but we have total faith in Captain Vicky Bradbeer, Tania Pearce and Becca Hollywell.
Special mentions to Maria Harding and Emma Hopton for also playing a pivotal roll in the route to the final. Good luck ladies….🏌️‍♂️
