Bicycle Mechanic – Full Time, 40 Hours per Week

The Bicycle Lounge is one of the UK’s leading independent road cycling specialists, based in the heart of Ormskirk. As our business continues to grow, we’re looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and customer-focused Bicycle Mechanic to join our friendly and passionate team.
We’re looking for someone who has previous experience working as a Bicycle Mechanic, ideally with a background in a professional workshop and/or bicycle retail. You’ll need to have a genuine passion for cycling, excellent attention to detail and take pride in delivering a high standard of workmanship.
The Role
As a Bicycle Mechanic at The Bicycle Lounge, you’ll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of servicing, repairs and builds across our customers’ bikes.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
• Has previous professional bicycle workshop experience
• Has a strong knowledge of modern road bikes (Preferably) and components
• Is confident working with mechanical and hydraulic systems
• Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in their workmanship
• Can diagnose problems efficiently and provide effective solutions
• Has a genuine passion for cycling
• Has excellent communication and customer service skills
• Is reliable, organised and able to work as part of a small team
• Is comfortable working on high-end and performance-focused bicycles
Previous bicycle retail experience would be highly advantageous, particularly for someone who enjoys speaking with customers and helping them understand their bike and equipment.
