Catherine Beattie and Jessica McCarroll have had a busy summer competing for Seskinore PC in Area competitions, and both girls qualified to compete at the Tetrathlon at the Pony Club Championships in England last week.
In blistering heat, with temperatures soaring above 36°C, both girls produced fantastic performances.
Catherine delivered a strong shoot, PBs in both her run and swim, and a brilliant effort in the ride phase, helping her Area 17 team finish an impressive 10th overall against the best in the UK! 🇬🇧
Jessica, making her debut in the Stepping Stones, also had a fantastic competition. She produced a great shoot, an excellent run on a challenging hilly course, a PB in her swim and a clear round in the cross-country ride phase. Jessica helped make up a Wales & Borders team that finished 7th overall, while she finished an impressive 19th individually! 👏
Well done to both girls! A huge amount of training, commitment and hard work goes into competing at this level, and their results are a fantastic reward for all their efforts.

Well done to Callie, who has had an excellent weekend as part of the NI Junior Pony Club Triathlon squad in Moreton Morrell.
Against top competition, she produced a decent 640 in her shoot, and new PBs in the 3 min swim (7 lengths 5m) and 1500m run (6 mins 48s).

During the heavy rain yesterday afternoon, Jessica McCarroll took to the Working Hunter arena and had a lovely clear round in the starter stakes class! A great debut at Balmoral! Well done Jessica and pony Lily 💪👏

Kelly Daly competed in the Connemara Ridden Class and was the highest placed home produced pony and 4th overall!👏

Good luck to Year 8 pupil Jessica who will compete in the Pony Club Winter Triathlon Championships in Grantham this weekend after she qualified in the Mimimus class. The competition consists of swimming the maximum distance in 2 minutes, running 1000m & pistol shooting to a 7m target. She will be representing the Area 17 (Northern Ireland) Pony Clubs Competition against finalists from all the UK Pony Club regions.
