Project handover at Airbus UK Broughton FC. After being appointed as pitch consultant in late 2025, Surfacing Standards Limited surveyed the old pitch, produced a project specification/tender docs before providing quality control/advice during the site works this summer. The new pitch is part of significant investment at the Hollingsworth Group Stadium as this season the club returns to Cymru Premier, the top tier of Welsh football. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 ⚽️

25 years since the original build, last week we handed over the newly resurfaced pitch for Bowdon Hockey Club. The project included the install of an elite level non-filled synthetic turf and gripper channel, a replacement shockpad performance layer & remedial works to the base.

Project handover at Cumberland Arena in Crewe. Reduced infill 3G surface system installed with shockpad underlay. Pitch foundation upgraded to engineered design. New perimeter fencing installed with infill retainers.

SSL are proud to have led the design & delivery of a bespoke athletics training circuit at Chichester College. The unique facility makes excellent usage of the site footprint, with banked bends, a sprint straight and grass infield. Running spike friendly, the track is complimented with a lighting system to maximise usage.

Double pitch refurbishment completed and handed over in Battersea Park! Located on the south bank of the River Thames, the FIH compliant sand dressed synthetic turf complete with new insitu shockpad covers a footprint of almost 13,000 square metres. Trip up to the North-East to review the hockey pitch at Newcastle High School for Girls. Following a series of intrusive investigation works last year to assess the pitch base and specialist soakaway drainage system, the pitch has now benefitted with the installation of a brand new International Hockey Federation (FIH) compliant sand dressed synthetic turf.
