Angling matches every Wednesday throughout the year on Lake Two at Makins Fishery Book in by paying entry fee 10 minutes before advertised draw time.

Draw and fishing times as advertised on the match list (5 hours fishing in winter, 6 in summer). Entry Fee £25 per match (all in) £15 of which paid out as 'pools', payable before draw. Correct money please. Rolling draw between stated times, pay, draw and go to peg. Beverages and bait available for purchase at venue. Toilet facilities at main car park. Results from todays lake 2 extravigansa ..
With lots away on holiday 9 rocked up and the wheel of death did its thing.. 4 pegs on a bank and 5 on b..
Pegged tp try and allow nets to get into deeper water due to the low water levels..

Top bombing from John Lack with a double ton off in form peg a6 - second was edge off a20 with 170 caught on bomb and paste and 3rd was john lBrandrick with 150 odd off b 19 paid winner and 2 sections.. back to gaz to run next weeks match.. see full results...

With another very hot day forecast and water levels down the match was reduced to 5 hours
This did not stop Andy Findlay giving us all another fine display of method feeder fishing for a match winning 246lbs
Second place Tony Brookes caught on waggler ;method ;sinking waggler third place Nick Proctor caught mainly on the method in his first Nisa midweek open

REPORT
With a loverly warm day forecast everyone hoped for a great day
Taylor Weir had a great start on peg B13 catching shallow at first then when the wind got stronger fished the edges for a estimated 180lb ????? turned out to be a winning 276lb Makins fish are bigger than you think.
Meanwhile on the other side of the island Andy Findlay caught 233lbs from various areas of A6 for second
Shaun caught his fish short later with 144lbs for third
Lewis caught the old feeder fish and short and long on pole for fourth

With a nice hot day with a light s/w wind things looked good
When edge drew A6 he was the one to beat
Edge caught on the feeder from the start and finished on paste in margin for his winning 318/04
Andy Finlay on A11 chased edge all day with a great all feeder caught 291/02 for second
On the B Bank very close with guest Chris Kearns catching 190/01 for third pushing
Tony Brookes with 177/13 into fourth

Great to meet the guest that where staying in the lodges for the week
