🔴⚪ FIRST XV COACHING TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT 🔴⚪

We're delighted to announce our First XV coaching team for the upcoming season.

Leading the programme as Director of Rugby is Ash Johnson. With international honours for South Africa and a distinguished professional career, Ash brings outstanding experience, leadership and ambition as we continue to drive standards both on and off the field.

Former Portugal international Jacques Le Roux takes on the role of Head Coach, bringing his passion, knowledge and commitment to developing an exciting brand of rugby.

Joining the team as Consultant Skills Coach is Billy Searle. Currently playing professional rugby for Leicester Tigers, Billy's elite-level experience and technical expertise will provide invaluable support to our players throughout the season.

Completing the coaching group is Phil King, who continues as Player/Backs Coach, combining leadership on the pitch with the development of our backline.

An exciting blend of international experience, professional expertise and Old Eds passion.

What a day. What a crowd. What a community.

We're absolutely delighted to announce that over 1,500 people attended Party on the Pitch 2026, making it our biggest and most successful event yet! 🙌

A huge thank you to everyone who bought a ticket, attended, volunteered, performed, sponsored, traded, supported and helped make the day such a fantastic success.

From the live music and family activities to the food vendors, bars and incredible atmosphere, it was brilliant to see Cleaver Park packed with so many smiling faces throughout the day.

What a fantastic start to the 2026/27 season.

Over 20 senior players and more than 20 Colts were on the pitch for our first pre-season session as preparations got underway for the new campaign.

It was great to welcome a mix of familiar faces, returning players and new recruits to the club, all putting in the hard work from day one.

A huge thank you to The Performance Pathway , who are supporting our pre-season programme and helping ensure players returning from injury can do so safely and effectively. Their work alongside the team at Comprehensive Sports Therapy provides our players with expert support throughout their return-to-play journey.

The hard work continues next week, and there's still plenty of time to get involved.
