We often spend so much of our lives indoors stuck at the desk at work or home, the thought of going into a gym or studio for an activity can be pretty overwhelming. It’s time to break free, to

The feeling of home
In Greenland.
In the middle of nowhere.
Surrounded by mountains, icebergs and an ocean that stretches beyond the horizon.
Our journey into Camp Kangiusaq began with a water taxi over 100km through the fjords, weaving between towering mountains and giant icebergs before finally arriving at this tiny camp tucked away in the wilderness
Kangiusaq is wild in every possible sense
But step inside the camp and something changes
Warmth. Stillness. Laughter.
Amazing food. Coffee. W**e and b**r.
Stories that go on long after dinner
There’s a Danish word for this feeling: hygge.
It’s often translated as cosiness, but it’s so much more than that. It’s warmth and comfort. Connection and togetherness. The feeling of being exactly where you’re supposed to be
And that’s what Camp Kangiusaq became for us
A little pocket of warmth in an enormous wilderness
And there was so much freedom to simply be
Days could be spent paddling amongst the icebergs, practising yoga on the deck, hiking up to a hidden lake or climbing to the viewpoint overlooking the vast Icefjord and the edge of the Greenland ice sheet
And then there were the days when we did absolutely nothing
Board games, draughts, backgammon and cards around the table. Reading a book. Painting. Drinking coffee. Talking. Laughing. Or simply sitting outside and watching the wilderness move around us
And then, on a couple of evenings, we were lucky enough to look up and see the Northern Lights dancing above camp
But perhaps the most beautiful thing was that the hygge didn’t come from the cabins or the fire or the food
It came from the people
From sharing the extraordinary
From looking at each other and knowing, can you believe we’re actually here?
From laughing until your face hurts
From being completely present
We came to Greenland looking for wilderness
We found adventure. We found wonder, stillness.
We found hygge 💙🩵🤍

The feeling of home 💙🏡
We found it in the wildest of places
Not in four walls, but in the warmth of the camp, the stillness of the landscape, the laughter, the shared adventures and, most of all, the people
Because sometimes home isn’t a place at all
It’s a feeling
It’s the people you share it with
It’s the moments you wish could last forever
And somehow, in the middle of the Greenland wilderness, we found it

The feeling of the Ice Fjord 🩵🤍🧊
We headed deep into the Ice Fjord, surrounded by a landscape that felt almost impossible to comprehend
The silence… broken by the sudden CRACK of shifting ice
Then a deep, thunderous roar as an iceberg rolled, reminding us just how powerful these giants really are
We paddled past towering walls of ice, onto a remote sandy beach where icebergs had come ashore, scattered across the shoreline like enormous pieces of sculpture
And then there was the thought that made it all feel even more extraordinary…
We were the first team of paddlers to explore this area
To paddle somewhere so wild, so untouched, and so completely dominated by ice and wilderness is so so special
One of those days we'll remember forever 🩵
