Fortress Jiu-Jitsu x Arnold Eagles FC

This morning we had the pleasure of welcoming the women’s football team from Arnold Eagles FC to Fortress Jiu-Jitsu for a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu workshop.

Loads of fun, great vibes and plenty of laughs! The ladies were fantastic, picking up the techniques so quickly and showing a brilliant attitude, energy and willingness to get stuck in.

A big thank you to Coach Oman for delivering a great class, to all the ladies for showing up with such a positive attitude, and to Demi-leigh Crofts for organising it.

We’re looking forward to more collaboration between Fortress Jiu-Jitsu and Arnold Eagles FC in the future!

⚽️ In the spirit of the World Cup, the team had our own World Cup Final! Safe to say the quality of the football wasn’t quite elite… but that’s probably why we all do Jiu-Jitsu instead. 😅

A brilliant day with the team, plenty of laughs and good competition.

Looking forward to the next one! 👊

Kids grading is about so much more than belts.

It’s about growth, resilience, teamwork, overcoming challenges, learning from setbacks, celebrating victories, staying calm in tough positions, building confidence, and becoming better teammates and friends.

The progress we see on and off the mats is what really matters, and that’s what makes every promotion well deserved.

We’re proud of every single one of you. Keep showing up, keep learning, and keep enjoying the journey.

Another weekend of competition at the Elite Junior Worlds.

We had three students representing Fortress, and we’re incredibly proud of them all.

🥈 Molly – 2nd place. Only her second competition, and she’s already made great progress. Plenty to build on, and she’s already excited to come back even stronger.

🥉🥇 Ryan – 3rd place in the Gi and 1st place in NoGi. Always pushing the pace, hunting for submissions, and making every match exciting.

🥉 Lavell – 3rd place in the Gi. Showed some great skills and has plenty to take away as we continue developing.

We’re looking forward to helping our junior squad keep improving their skills, building confidence, and reaching their full potential.

On to the next one!

As always, we’re proud of every single one of our students. A huge thank you to all the parents and families for your continued support,it really does make a difference.

Another Busy Weekend of Competition for the Team!

This weekend we had athletes competing across ADCC Sheffield, NAGA Birmingham, and Derby Jiu Jitsu.

Saturday

🥇 Coach Hifen – Gold at ADCC.
It was amazing to see him back competing. After everything he’s worked through this year, it was great to see all that hard work pay off.

🥈 Harry – Silver at ADCC.
Harry continues to mature and improve with every competition. He’s gaining valuable experience every time he steps on the mats and it’s showing in his performances.

🥇🥇 Lavell – Double Gold at NAGA (Gi & No-Gi).
An electric performance from start to finish, with 4 matches and 4 submissions. Outstanding work.

Sunday

🥈 Maya – Silver in the Gi.
Only her second competition ever, and she showed great courage putting herself out there and challenging herself to improve. Very proud of her effort and attitude.

🥈 Theo – Silver in the Gi.
Also competing for only the second time. It’s exciting to see him gaining experience, building new skills, and continuing to improve. Keep showing up and the gold medals will come.

As always, it’s about much more than medals. It’s about the process, the lessons learned, the confidence built, and the willingness to step outside your comfort zone.

A huge thank you to all the coaches, students, and parents for your continued support. We’re proud of every athlete who stepped onto the mats this weekend.

🏆 All Stars Coventry – Competition Results 🏆

This Sunday we had a fantastic group of juniors and juveniles representing the team, and they did us proud!

🥇 Molly – Double Gold (Gi, 2 categories) & Gold (NoGi)
🥇 Ryan – Gold (Gi) & Gold (NoGi)
🥇 Lavell – Gold (Gi) & Gold (NoGi)
🥈 Lillie – Silver (Gi)
🥈🥉 Theo – Silver (Gi) & Bronze (NoGi)
🥉 Ivy – Bronze (Gi)
🥈 Tai – Silver (NoGi)

Some were competing for the very first time, while others continue to build valuable competition experience. Every athlete stepped onto the mats, showed courage, resilience, and worked hard to make good decisions under pressure.

The medals are great, but what makes us most proud is the effort they put into training, their attitude, and their willingness to challenge themselves. There is still plenty to improve, which is exciting because it means there is so much more growth to come.

We are incredibly proud of every student who competed. Keep learning, keep improving, and keep showing up. The future is bright for this team.

A huge thank you to all the coaches and parents who continue to support the students and the club. Your time, encouragement, and commitment make a massive difference.

On to the next one!
