What. A. Day. ❤️⚽ (and night….)
Firstly, THANK YOU to every single person who came along and made this year's event another one to remember. Whether you played, supported, volunteered, or simply cheered everyone on – this day only happens because of you.
There are a few people who deserve a special shout-out...
👏 Our referees – Zack, Rick, Andy, Kirsten & Adam.
You somehow managed to keep us all in line (no easy task!) and gave up your time for free. Without you, there simply isn't a tournament. Thank you.
👏 Andy.
Every year you're handed what can only be described as my "organised chaos" – a hastily scribbled fixture list that probably makes less sense than a doctor's handwriting. Somehow, you turn it into a perfectly run tournament. For the last 10 years you've taken all the stress off our shoulders, and we honestly couldn't do it without you. Thanks to Eleanor for assisting too.
👏 Rick.
Not only do you referee, but you also run the children's coaching. This has always felt like such a special part of Tara's legacy – she would've absolutely loved seeing so many children laughing, playing and having fun. Whether one child turns up or one hundred, you bring the same enthusiasm every single time, and the amazing feedback speaks for itself. Thank you.

Aka Nottingham’s best car park attendant.
This year was definitely our toughest yet. Rising costs meant there was a point where we genuinely weren't sure if we'd be able to hold the event. Thankfully, four incredible companies stepped in and made sure it could happen.
A huge thank you to Pave The Way, Sculpture Gym, ITB Fabrications and WF Glazing Protections.
Your support quite literally kept the tournament alive this year. ❤️
A massive thank you as always to the amazing staff at Nottingham Forest Foundation sports zone for everything you've done, both on the day and in the weeks leading up to it... especially for patiently answering approximately 45 questions a day from Joolz about tables, chairs and everything in between. 😂
Thank you also to Police for coming along to support the event, chat to everyone about your community initiatives and—perhaps most importantly—providing the safest storage area for half our equipment throughout the day!
And finally, thank you to our wonderful partners at Nottingham Women's Centre We're so proud to support the incredible work you do.
We'll share the final fundraising total later this week once the Women's Centre has finished counting everything, but whatever the final figure is, the real success was seeing everyone come together once again.
Every year reminds us why we do this.
For Tara 💜
For our community ❤️
For the memories ⚽️

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL PLAYERS and anyone attending Women United 2026.
The Forest Sports Zone has undertaken some improvements as a result they have some strict rules around footwear on the playing surface. This will apply to anyone going into the surface, so any managers / supporters that are intending to go onto the surface will also need to follow the rules. The staff on site will be monitoring on the day too.
Below is the message we have been sent from the sports zone in full:
This is a message from Nottingham Forest Community Trust
Dear Facility Users, As we welcome back our valued customers to use our new 3G pitch, please be aware of our footwear requirements to help protect the playing surface and ensure its longevity. ✅ Permitted footwear: Moulded studs Short screw-in studs Short blades Hybrid stud/blade boots ❌ Not permitted: Astro/turf (dimple sole) boots Flat-soled footwear Metal studs We also ask that all users put their boots on before entering the pitch area and change back into their regular footwear after exiting the pitch. This will help keep the surface clean and in the best possible condition. Thank you for your cooperation and support in maintaining our new facility. Forest Sports Zone Management
