We’re beyond thrilled to announce that the incredible Megan Vardy will be leading a special Samurai Sword Seminar on Sunday, 6th September at East Leake Leisure Centre! 🗡️ Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to train with a 14-time World Champion, renowned for her mastery in Extreme Forms—both with and without weapons. This is your chance to learn from one of the very best in the field!

Every participant will receive a high-quality wooden training sword as part of the seminar price, so you can practice your new skills during the session and take your sword home afterwards. What more could you ask for?

Sessions are tailored by age for optimal learning:
- **Ages up to 12:** 1pm–2pm, just £25 each
- **Ages 13+:** 2:15pm–4pm, only £35 each

🥇 Coming soon… our next PKA Interclub Tournament 🥇

On the 3rd October we’ll be hosting another Interclub tournament over at our sister club’s Belper Leisure Centre!

We had a great turnout and some fantastic bouts earlier this year, and we’d love to see that again in October 💪

Any PKA member is welcome to join, we place all participants into age and weight categories so our fighters are as evenly matched as possible. If you’d like to join but you’re not entirely sure, we’ll be doing some more sparring in classes before the event, so give it a go and see if you enjoy it!

As we’re coming up to the new school year, it’s a great opportunity to think about new hobbies for your child.

Whether they’d like to have more focus, meet new friends, or have a space to burn off some stress in a safe environment after school, we’re here for all.

Our classes our split into age groups to each student gets the most out of their training session, and we have coaching team on hand to support and make sure all students excel to their best! ⭐️

🎓 Celebrating Our Young People This GCSE Results Day 🎓

Today is an important day for many young people and families across our local clubs and communities.

To every student receiving their GCSE results: whatever the outcome, be proud of how far you have come. Your hard work, courage and determination deserve to be recognised.

Results may help guide your next step, but they do not define your worth, your abilities or what you can achieve in the future. There are many different paths to success, and today is just one moment in a much bigger journey.
