What a weekend it’s been at our Club Championships! ⛳️

15 of our Norwood ladies took on the two-day Club Champs competition this weekend. It’s a fantastic event, but certainly a tough one, so a huge well done to every one of the 15 ladies who competed. 👏🏻

And now to our 2026 Champions… 🏆

🌟 Gross Champion – Lynne Inman
with a fantastic total gross score of 173

🌟 Nett Champion – Elizabeth Turner
with a brilliant total nett score of 148

Huge congratulations to Lynne and Elizabeth — very worthy winners!

We couldn’t have asked for a better weekend: great weather, great golf and a brilliant atmosphere around the club.

⛳️🇺🇸 A fantastic update from one of our own!

This Monday, Amelia tees it up at Salina Municipal Golf Club, Kansas, representing Iowa Western Community College Women’s Golf Team in her first tournament.

After qualifying 1st in both rounds, she has earned the No. 1 spot for the team, leading the individual scores! 👏🏆

The tournament runs over two rounds - Monday and Tuesday

And it’s not just the golf that’s going well… she’s currently achieving 4 As and 1 B in her studies! 📚👏

We’re incredibly proud of her dedication both on and off the course.

This Thursday (27th August), three Norwood Park Golf / Maceys' Golf Store & Driving Range members – Brizo, Matt and Tony – will set off on an incredible challenge: cycling from London to Paris to raise money for Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance. 🚴

Over five days the trio hope to complete 250 miles, arriving in Paris on 31st August. The route follows much of the beautiful Avenue Verte through France before finishing at the iconic Notre-Dame Cathedral. 🇬🇧➡️🇫🇷

It won’t be an easy ride; they have no support vehicle, no electric bikes, and will be carrying everything they need. 💪

The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance provides a truly lifesaving service across the region, delivering expert critical care when every second counts. 🚁

Although this ride forms part of the Norwood Captains’ Charity fundraising, they have created a dedicated JustGiving page so that every donation goes directly towards supporting Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance and allows them to get behind the challenge. ✅

Every contribution will help this amazing charity continue providing its vital service.
