A few weeks ago, Oscar sent in a picture of our 2cv coloured in beautifully, yesterday we got sent these pictures of him at Donington supporting his favourite BTCC driver Dan Cammish.

It's amazing to see young people get the buzz from race cars that we did as kids and still do today. If any children are at a meeting that G.R.Racing are at please come and see us, we will try our best to show you the cars and introduce you to drivers and do all we can to help give you the thrill and excitement to potentially race or have a carreer in motorsport.

We have had the opportunity to do some amazing things, go to some amazing places and meet some amazing people, we want to help people do the same.

Home after another awesome 24hr with Rosie Racing & Steve Walford Motorsport. A great event as alway and fairly uneventful for us having only 1 engine change and a snapped throttle cable to contend with on top of the planned driver changes & fuel stops. Even had time for a board game.

Thanks as always to the guys and girls behind the scenes that help us do what we do and supply parts and equipment, none of this is possible without you.

This weekend we head to Snetterton to help Steve Walford Motorsport & Rosie Racing as they take part in thr twice round the clock race in a 2cv.

Another frustrating race weekend at Brands Hatch, #95 Andrew Baldwin had a great test day Friday until the gearbox decided not to play ball and the boys set to work to 1st of all try and rebuild the gearbox, then when we couldn't source all the parts, replace it, and the clutch, propshaft & relocate the engine to suit the new gearbox. This ment a late night and an early start, but the job was done and Andrew repaid us with his best drive yet battling with a group of drivers in both races.

#4 Lewis Ward had a great test on Friday but the pace seemed to be gone during qualifying and race 1. The reason became apparent with the chassis split around the suspension pick up point. So with 1hr 45mins till race 2, again the boys set to it, removing most of the front suspension, steering rack and radiator and repairing the broken section of chassis and resetting the suspension geometry. Sending the car to the holding area with minutes to spare. Lewis showed the pace in the car was back running 2nd and challenging for the lead until the car jumping out of gear on the exit Curb dropped him back to 6th.

So we have lots of work to do before Croft next month but we will be there ready to see out the season in style

Race week incoming. Quick turn around since Cadwell Park and this time we are heading to Brands Hatch Indy.

After a lap record last time out #4 Lewis Ward is set to continue the run and aiming for the top of the podium. #95 Andrew Baldwin will be making his 1st visit to Brands Hatch as a racer rather than a spectator. After gearbox issues plagued qualifying & race 2 we have had a busy few weeks making repairs and improvements, we have a full day testing Friday and hoping to come away from the weekend with some points.

Awesome Job Lewis - Same again at Brands please

Lewis Ward set a new Lap Record at Cadwell Park in the Nankang Tyre Locost Championship with a lap time of 1m44.576.

G.R.Racing is all about helping young people get hooked on Motorsport, and we released some colouring pages a few weeks back.

Today we received these pictures coloured in by Oscar(5) & Autumn(4) and we couldn't be prouder. Hope to see you both at a circuit soon for a full tour of the race cars we work on and meet the drivers.

If anyone wants some of our colouring pages we have copies at most race meetings, the next is at Brands Hatch 8th August, just pop over and say hello and we will hand them out.

Sorry for the lack of posts this weekend, but we had a mixed bag and plenty of work to do.

#4 Lewis Ward did the business. After an eventful journey to Cadwell, it was another mega weekend taking home 2 2nd place trophies.

#95 Andrew Baldwin had a great day Friday, full of confidence having tested pre-season, Friday went well and looked to be on the pace for a great mid-pack battle but qualifying is where the gearbox gremlins started. 1 lap completed ment that we couldn't take part in race 1. He did his 2 laps Sunday morning which ment he could start race 2 but a slightly different gearbox issue ment 1 DNS & 1 DNF

We have a lot of work to do over the next 3 weeks but we will be ready to fight again at Brands Hatch

I would like to thank everyone at Blackbird Auto Club for being so welcoming and helpful throughout the weekend. It was a fantastic event, well organised and very friendly.

This was my 1st Autotest on grass, although I have spent half my racing career on grass this was a 1st and very different to anything ive done before. Took a few runs to find my feet, and did a wrong test and hit a cone early on, but fortunately was able to drop those times. Was running 3rd in class and 5th overall as we stopped for lunch but the last 2 tests were quite fast and open which suited me and the Steve Walford Motorsport Ka which ment we putting some quick times and finished 2nd in class and 2nd overall.

With a little practice i think we could be challenging for a win as I think we got the fastest class test time for ½ of the tests. All in all, very happy with the performance and that result.

Race weekend #4 of the 2026 season and we are heading to Cadwell Park. Lewis Ward is looking for a repeat of last round and Andrew Baldwin tested here pre season so is more prepared than ever for these 2 races.

Huge thank you to WOSP - WOSPerformance for getting us out the s**t after our starter motor got lost in the post. Less than 36hrs after realising there was an issue we had a new starter, built to G.R.R spec in our hands.

The weather looks cooler too. If you're at Cadwell come over and say hello, would be great to see some of you.
