We are really excited to announce that our Lady Bay Workshop has transferred to our mechanics Michael and Kevin Lovett, who have successfully operated the workshop for several years. We are delighted to see them launch their own venture, MK Cycle Repairs, and continue providing high-quality cycle services to the local community.

Michael and Kevin will no doubt continue to support Nottingham Bikeworks with their knowledge and expertise when required. We wish them every success for the future.

🎉 Join The Toy Library at Bulwell Hall Park tomorrow, Wednesday 5th August, from 11am to 2pm for our National Play Day celebration!

We're bringing a day packed full of fun, free, creative and active activities for children aged 0–14 years and their families. Bring a picnic, a blanket, and your refillable water bottles – we'll have fresh drinking water available throughout the day.
With the lovely weather we've been having, why not make a day of it?

🍦 An ice cream van will be on site, and there will also be food available to purchase at low cost. However, if you'd like to enjoy the day completely free of charge, simply bring your own packed lunch and join in the fun.
We'd love to see as many families there as possible!
🚗 If you're travelling by car, please be considerate when parking.

We recommend using:
• The overflow car park at the golf course and walking back up
• Available street parking or designated parking within the park

Please do not park in the bus terminal, across driveways, or in locations that may restrict access for local residents, particularly those who require disabled access.

We can't wait to spend National Play Day with you all!

This week is a week of big change at Nottingham Bikeworks
Our arrangement at our Sneinton Workshop has always been temporary but we have really come to make Sneinton our home. Unfortunately, the building was recently sold meaning we started the process of finding a new base.
We were so excited to find a perfect new home but unfortunately, well into the process of sorting contracts, the new landlord withdrew from the process.
This left us in the difficult position of needing to vacate and having nowhere to go.
Thanks to lots of local support we have been able to find spots to store the considerable amount of kit we have. This means for a short period of time we will not have a public facing workshop in the City.
The search for a new home continues, with some truly exciting options available. In the meantime our community projects will continue over the summer, with our staff working from various spaces across the City.
Keep an eye on your feed for further updates over the next month, including some exciting news about our workshop in Lady Bay.
But for now thank you to all our supporters who have made use of the Sneinton Workshop, the last few years here have been fantastic.

Great news, as more free bikes will be given to jobseekers across Nottingham until spring 2027! 🥳

So far, over 100 bikes have been handed out to jobseekers, helping people access interviews, training and new opportunities. 🚲

The initiative also provides travel planning, maintenance advice and cycle confidence support.
