Hi everyone!

With so many folks away on holidays, and an event clash at our hall on one weekend, I’ve decided to suspend classes through August; this means there will be no Lindy Hop or Solo Jazz classes this month.

I will however be keeping our Sunday Jam social/practice session on the fourth Sunday, 23rd August, 5.30pm-8.30pm, so we can get together and refresh our skills before classes reconvene on Sunday 6 September at St Christopher’s Church Hall, Sneinton.

I hope you all have a lovely break and I’ll look forward to seeing you all at August Sunday Jam.

Many thanks to you all for your continued support of Nottingham Lindy Hop (and all your lovely birthday wishes last month).

Happy Summertime everyone
Love Lisa xx
😘

Hi all 👋

Due to the bank holiday weekends and because it’s World Lindy Hop Day on 26 May (Frankie Manning’s Birthday) we are doing things a little differently this May…

We have two class weekends - This Sunday (10th) and Monday (11th) and next Sunday (17th) and Monday (18th) - And then our Sunday Jam will be on last Sunday of the month (31st)

Sunday classes:
• From 5:15 to 6:15, in place of our level 1 class we’ll be learning the Shim Sham (a mostly solo routine, as adapted by Frankie based on Leonard Reed’s Tap Shim Sham) - all welcome regardless of level!

• 6.30-7.30 in our level 2 class we’ll be learning the Frankie 99 choreography - this is also open to all for this month as long as you’ve got a little bit of Lindy Hop under your belt.

In Monday Jazz classes:
8.15-9.15 we’re finishing off and tidying up the Tranky Doo which we were working on in April. If you’ve not been before don’t worry come along anyway and see what you pick up - it’ll be fun 😁

Class prices per person are:
• £8 each
• £12 for two on same day.
Sunday Jam (3 hours of practice/social time)
• £8 per person

Monthly passes for May are:
- £20 for one ‘class stream’ (Shim Sham/Frankie 99/Solo Jazz) for the month (2 classes) plus Sunday Jam.
• £30 for two ‘streams’ (4 classes) and Sunday Jam
• £40 to do all ‘streams’ (6 classes) and Sunday Jam.

Hope to see you later at St Christopher’s Church Hall, Trent Road, Sneinton, Nottingham.

Love Lisa x
