It’s been a fantastic summer for aquatics training across Gedling Borough Council, with 38 new qualifications being achieved!🏆

This summer, we have supported:

🛟 18 new lifeguards completing their NPLQ training
🏊 10 swimming teachers upskilling to complete their SEQ Baby and Toddler Qualification
🌊 10 new SEQ Swimming Teachers qualifying to help deliver high-quality swimming lessons across our facilities

These achievements represent a fantastic investment in the skills and development of our aquatics workforce, helping us to continue providing safe, welcoming and high-quality leisure services for our communities.

We are launching Gedling Health, a programme that supports people with a range of health conditions to become more active in a safe, welcoming environment.

The initiative officially launches at a free Health Fair on 16 September at Carlton Forum Leisure Centre, to coincide with National Fitness Day.

Redhill Customer notice

🚧The access road to Redhill Leisure Centre will be closed for resurfacing works next week from 17th to 21st August.

🕰Closure times will be dependent on which parts of the works have been completed.

🤞VIA have assured us that wherever possible their traffic marshals will allow access to the leisure centre car park though please bear in mind that your exit from the car park may be delayed until it is safe to allow it.

😌For your convenience and peace of mind, customers have been asked to park elsewhere and walk, such as the Arnold Leisure Centre car park (make sure you display a ticket!).

Throughout the summer holidays we have FREE lessons in our pools to help prevent drowning.

Our Water Confidence & Self Rescue Lessons for children aged 5-7 and 8-15 are especially for people that are nervous about being in water.

These free lessons are designed to help reduce fear, build confidence in water and introduce simple self-rescue skills, in a calm and supportive environment.
