Another race weekend done. We’ve had a great weekend at Darley Moor! A big thanks to James Salsbury for jumping in the chair again, back to where it all began for me and James, 5 years ago James jumped on for my ACU licence day, how that’s flown by.
Practice was steady, ended up going round in mostly the wrong gear. 1:18, 3rd overall 1st in class.
Race 1, an alright start in a tight grid. Ended up 4th going into the chicane. Had a couple of laps swapping positions with Whittaker/Feltham, before our bike just had more top end than the 750. Kept pushing and ended up in the 1:16’s, two seconds quicker than I’ve ever gone around Darley. 3rd overall, 1st in class!🥇
Race 2, a better start and 3rd into the chicane. Attempted to stay with Saunders/Cole and The Gaggs but unfortunately just not quick enough to do so. But we still had a great race. In the 1:16’s again so good consistency. 3rd overall, 1st in class!🥇
Race 3, a good start and ended 3rd into the chicane. Spent a lap or two chasing the front two again but quick enough again to do so, but Motson/Lissaman on the BSA came out of nowhere and we had a great few laps swapping positions, the BMW had more legs on the straights to get passed but through the corners the BSA was much quicker. Unfortunately they had to pull out of the race. 3rd overall, 1st in class!🥇
Race 4, DNF. Going into the second chicane the bike didn’t turn great and into the left was crap, checked around the hairpin and the front tyre had gone flat.
Big thanks as always to all officials, medics and of course the orange army for making the weekend run so smooth!

A top weekend at Costa Del Pembrey! Don’t think we’ve ever had the weather like this weekend. A big thanks to all the Marshalls, officials and medics for making the weekend work as always! Ian did phenomenal to say it was his first time at Pembrey!
Practice we started off steady as it was Ian’s first time at Pembrey having never been before, built up speed and go to the lap time I had done in previous years. We were out with the pre injection F1’s and F2’s.
Race 1, a split start so the pre injection bikes went off first and then us, didn’t get a very good start with a wheelie off the line and but ended up 3rd into the hairpin. At that was it for the rest of the race, lonely after a few laps but managed to get down the 1:17’s so two seconds off my best lap time. 9th overall, 1st in class.🥇
Race 2, a much better start until I missed a gear🤦🏻♂️still ended up 3rd into the hairpin again and managed to keep on the back of the two quicker BMW kneelers, until the last couple of laps where the F2’s came through. Got the lap times down into the 1:16’s very happy with that! 9th overall, 1st in class.🥇
Race 3, another good start with a another missed gear but got the same again 3rd into the hairpin. Tried to stay with the two kneelers BMWs again but they were just too quick, and having a big slide through the last corner really didn’t help. Kept pushing and everytime I could see behind the Meads were right there. Until the last lap where it was 4 abreast into the hairpin, we tried to get the triumph kneeler and the Wilkins pairing on the brakes but that wasn’t going to work, got behind the Wilkins and come out the hairpin in neutral and stamped it into gear and got going again, had to try and overtake the Wilkins somewhere only place was around the outside of the left hander, not much space but we got passed. 9th overall, 1st in class.🥇
Race 4, got the best start of the weekend from 4th and was first into the braking zone but the two bmw kneelers came passed and tried to hang onto them to pull us along, managed to get Whitaker/Feltham out of the hairpin, they only came passed into the hairpin but then had some trouble coming out the hairpin again. And that was it really, apart from a bit of grass tracking we finished. 8th overall, 1st in class!🥇
A big thanks to Andy & Tom Wilkins for their help with changing tyres and even lending me a spare rear when the rear tyre would sit on the bead properly. Top lads!

Another super weekend of racing at Cadwell Park done! You cannot beat racing at Cadwell in the sun. We headed into this round leading the championship by a nice amount after Lydden. The only aim to extend it.
Ian Tennant was top notch in the chair once again! A real top draw passenger!
Practice was a nice steady one, letting a new clutch bed in, nothing to gain in that one.
Race 1, got a great start and had to use the pit lane to go round an outfit or two but managed to get into second place by coppice and stayed behind Whittaker/Feltham going up into park, we were close enough to attempt an overtake but the Windle was much better on the brakes so we weren’t able to make that move. We stayed with them for a few laps and then we backed off a bit due to the bike not quite revving out properly but still managed to keep the distance of the next set of outfits. Race was red flagged. 2nd overall, 1st in class!🥇
Race 2, as our lap time was quicker we managed to get a few more places up the grid and got an amazing start and managed to get the hole shot and was first into coppice and all the way into park where the Windle of Whittaker/Feltham got us on the brakes again, pretty much a carbon copy of race 1 for there onwards! 2nd overall, 1st in class!🥇
Race 3, what could’ve been! Didn’t even make the assembly area, on the way the bike died and we had no idea why. Got back to the awning and did some investigating and found a fuse blown. Swapped it and she ran sweet as, we also think this may have been some of the issue with the bike not revving out properly in the two races from Saturday. 👎🏻
Race 4, due to not setting a lap time we had to start from the back of the grid, got a cracking start and got up to probably 6th or 7th into coppice and got passed Jones/Howells on park straight and slipped up the inside of the Meads pairing into Park on the brakes and set off after Whitaker/Feltham and the New Zealand pairing of Rees/Perry, stayed with them for the first lap and got right up behind Whitaker/Feltham into Charlie’s 1, thought about the overtake but pulled out of it last minute, managed to get passed them on the straight, and attempted to stay with the Kiwis, catching them on the straights and stayed with them for a few laps, Whitaker/Feltham managed to get passed us again, so we backed off and got it across the finish line without any issues! 3rd overall, 1st in class!🥇
A big thanks to the officials, medics and of course the orange army and anyone else that allows us to go racing! If you love watching racing get involved, you won’t regret it!
Next outing for us is at Pembrey next month🏁🏁
