What an Amazing weekend Anstey had in Cork at the British and Irish Championships! 🇬🇧🇮🇪

We started off with a Gold in the 600kg closed representing England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🥇🏆

There were 10 teams competing from Wales, Scotland, Ireland, Northern Ireland as well as England. We got through the group without loosing an end, meeting Ireland A in the semi and then our fellow English team in the final. Thanks to Ian from Lincoln for pulling with us 🤝

The open saw us enter both the 560kg and 600kg 🥇🥇

The 560 was split into 2 groups, we topped our group meeting Killylough in the final winning our first open Gold 🥇

Our second open weight was the 600kg, again we topped our group meeting Norton this time in the final. After a tough 3 ends we came away with a second open Gold 🥇 Cheers for Brandy for joining us 🤝

Some of the lads then joined Bedford Ladies Tug of War for the 4x4. After a shakey start they made it through to a bronze place pull off against Cornhill from Scotland, winning the medal 🥉🤝

Jacob, Charlie and Harry won a whole host of medals with the Juniors 🏅

Hattie, Elsa, Jess & Sophie also won gold, silver and bronze medals in both the closed and open competitions in the senior ladies 🏅

We start pulling at 9.30 this morning, Tow Jamie live stream should be running if you fancy watching it 📹

Tomorrow we head to Cork for the British and Irish Championships 🇬🇧🇮🇪

On Saturday, we are Representing England in Men’s 600kg 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

On Sunday, we will as Anstey in the open competition in various weights ⬛️🛑

Yesterday the Young farmers lads headed up to the YFC Nationals held at Tenbury Wells Show!

They didn’t drop and end all day, meeting some strong teams throughout the day. This makes it a record 4th consecutive win now! 🏆

Next week the team head over to Cork for the British and Irish Championship 🇮🇪

Our ENGLAND 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 teams have been selected for the 2026 British and Irish Championships taking place in Cork, Ireland on 8-9 August, and the 2026 World Championships in Mossel Bay, South Africa, where England teams will be hitting the rope on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 September, pulling against the BEST in the world 💪🌍
