What do we do when there’s thunderstorms quite literally overhead ⚡️⛈️, evacuation isn’t the safest option and we’ve got 15 slightly terrified children trying to enjoy their last day of Holiday Clubs?!

WELL… we huddle together, stick a bitta Bob Marley on 🎶, cook up a batch of Carmen’s famous pancakes 🥞 and remain C A L M 🧘😆

Safe to say, Holiday Clubs went out with an actual BANG ⚡️ 😎

Yeah, we might all be feeling a little bit like Serena by the last day of Holiday Clubs… 🫠

But let me tell you a TIME was had 😎🙌

For all of those who have helped with our woodland conservation efforts - particularly pulling Himalayan balsam THIS is why we’ve been doing it!

It’s really hard to explain to the children just how brilliantly (and violently 😂) Himalayan balsam disperses its seeds until you actually see it happen.

Those little seed pods quite literally EXPLODE, firing their seeds out around them and helping the plant spread like CRAZY through the woodland. 💥🌱

Feel free to show this to any of our crew who have been involved in our balsam-bashing missions this year - they can see for themselves exactly what we’ve been trying to stop!

And hopefully feel pretty proud knowing they’ve played a part in looking after the woodland too. 🧡

Another fantastic day for our Holiday Club crew 🔥🧡

Dance competitions 🪩 Mini expeditions 🧭 and a visit to the BEST neighbours in the world, .acres, where the children got to spend time with some very special animals. 🐐🐴🐓 🐷

Honestly… the smiles say it all. 🥹

We’re SO SO lucky to work alongside Alternative Acres and be able to offer experiences like this. It’s not every day children get the chance to slow down, connect with animals and ask ALL the questions

We were so proud of every single one of them today. The kindness, respect and gentle way they treated the animals was just lovely to see. These are the moments they’ll remember long after the summer holidays are over. 🌿🧡
