Although things have cooled down a bit now this is our heat guidance (ready for the next heatwave!). On hot days we'll have the thermostat at the sign-in desk. 🙂

It was fantastic to have Radcliffe Sword Club visit us yesterday, great atmosphere. Hope we can do it again soon. 🤺🙂⚔

**IMPORTANT : HOT WEATHER**

Although the club will be open tonight please consider the heat and only attend if you feel comfortable. All fencers must read the attached 'individual responsibilities' guidance from British Fencing regarding hot weather. Stay hydrated, consider shorter bouts and maybe step outside occasionally for (hopefully) cooler air.

A thermostat will be on the welcome desk, if inside temperatures hit 32 degrees we will stop/cancel fencing as per British Fencing guidelines.

REMINDER : The Chilwell Blades Annual General Meeting will be held at 9pm next week on Wednesday 22nd July in Sports hall at Chilwell Olympia.

The Committee invites all members to attend the meeting and it would be great to see as many of you there as possible. We will be discussing matters that affect the club and its members including changes to membership fees, there is also a chance for you as members to bring up any issues and you are invited to submit any items for the agenda to the Club Secretary via the club e-mail. An agenda will be sent out closer to the meeting.

On the evening there will be fencing from 7.30 to 8.45 when all kit must be put away. The meeting will then start at 9pm sharp.

Sometimes an event comes along so big that you just need to change your plans. With England in the World Cup Semi Finals at 8pm on Wednesday and many of you wanting to watch the game, the committee has taken the decision to delay the AGM by one week until the 22nd July. We wouldn’t want you to miss the chance to attend the AGM either. 🙂

What does this mean for you? If you would like to Fence this week, the club will be open from 7.30-10pm as usual. Whilst we won’t be offering formal lessons on the night, Beginners, you can attend for some sparring. 🤺

Next Week (22nd July) we will hold the AGM from 9pm. We look forward to seeing as many of there as possible.
