Pet a Pony

Hello Cupcake and welcome to the hospice! Over the past couple of weeks Cupcake who is a has visited the hospice several times and has delighted us all. Such a beautiful sweet natured pony, brought to us by Pet a Pony who are a local not for profit organisation.

This, however was only made possible thanks to the generosity of Councillor Richard Butler who paid for the visits from the Nottinghamshire County Council Councillor Community Support Fund. Support such as this is so important as it ensures that our vital funds can be channelled towards our guests and their carers specific needs. We never have any spare pennies for moments such as this so we were so delighted that Councillor Butler was able to help.

Therapy Ponies offer a calm moment which helps our guests to relax, engage, enjoy a unique hands-on experience and just "be" for a moment.

Fun facts......Cupcake is 14 years old and has been sharing the love for the last 3 years. When she's not out and about she shares a field with her friends Sprinkles and Nutmeg! 🥰

Sooooo super proud of Sprinkles today!! She did her first proper gig inside a care home, only second time in a lift (was a bit scary for her) and the first time she ever went into rooms!! She has a long way to go to be as good as her field mate Cupcake, but she got off to a cracking start!
