Not every 4-footer is the same 👀

We often practise short putting from the same spot, on the same line, at the same speed.

But on the course, the demands are constantly changing.

A 4ft putt on 1% slope is very different to one on 4%. Add uphill, downhill, left-to-right or right-to-left and suddenly your read, start line and speed all have to adapt.

That’s something I want players to expose themselves to more in practice.

Build the technical skill, absolutely. But then challenge it.

Different slopes. Different speeds. Different reads. Different consequences.

The goal isn’t just to build a repeatable stroke — it’s to build a putting game that can adapt.
