We offer sporting, s***t, trap and Compak clay shooting here. New to shooting and not sure what we're talking about?

These are all different disciplines within the sport of clay shooting. Here's a brief overview of each to whet your appetite:

🔫 Sporting
This is a clay shooting discipline that's closest to game shooting. The aim is to replicate the different targets a shooter might encounter in the field. The different types of clays travel at different speeds and angles, providing an almost endless variation.

🔫 S***t
Shot across 7 stations, equally placed around a semi-circle (as you can see in this pic) with 25 targets per 'round', sent out as both singles and pairs. This is a great discipline for improving consistency as the targets always remain the same.

🔫 Trap (ABT/DTL)
One or more traps are situated approx 15m in front of the shooter and the clays are thrown as singles or doubles going away at varying speeds, angles and elevations. This can be shot with up to 5 shooters, each shooting 1 target per person until 5 have been shot, before moving to the next station to continue the same until completion at 25 clays.

🔫 Compak
Shot from five stands, in a line of purpose-built wooden frames. With 5 traps set up, each shooter (up to 5 people) follows the card in front of them to work through the different targets for 5 clays, before everyone moves to the next station. This is repeated until each shooter has shot all stations and 25 clays. It's a fun way of trying different targets from different angles in one place.

Beginners Shotgun Safety Masterclass

Join us at Mid Norfolk Shooting Ground for a hands-on workshop designed for those new to clay/game shooting or looking to obtain their certificate.

This in-person workshop This workshop covers everything you need to know about shotgun safety, proper handling, transportation, and maintenance, based on Home Office and Police guidelines. Our experienced instructors will guide you through the essentials, ensuring you attain the foundational knowledge required to handle a shotgun safely and responsibly.

Proper handling and operation
Safe transportation procedures
Cleaning and maintenance
