Ladies:
Our ladies A team finished 3rd in their first season back in Div 1 👏🏻👏🏻
Ladies B currently sit 4th in Div 3
Ladies C will move down to Div 6

Men:
Our men’s A team followed up last seasons historic win with a 2nd place finish in Div 1 👏🏻👏🏻
Mens B currently sit just above the relegation zone in Div 2
Mens C will move down to Div 5
Mens D currently sit just above the relegation zone in Div 6

The winter league season begins in Autumn, plenty more competitive team tennis for our teams to compete in.

Incredible service to Norfolk Tennis

Nicky Crawley Steps Down As Norfolk Men’s County Captain

After 28 years of involvement with the Norfolk Men’s County team, first as a player and more recently as captain, Nicky Crawley has announced that he is stepping down.

Making his debut in 1999 under Tony Spurgeon, Crawley went on to play a record 145 fixtures for Norfolk, competing in 320 rubbers and recording 187 victories.

He succeeded Barry Fulcher as captain in 2015 and enjoyed a successful spell at the helm, leading the county to promotion at Ilkley in 2017 and again at last year’s final ever Winter County Cup at Easton.

Reflecting on his time with the county team, Crawley said:

“I’d like to thank every teammate I’ve played alongside and every player who’s played under me as captain. The memories that have been created over the 28-year period go way beyond just hitting a tennis ball. I wish the team all the best for the future, and I look forward to coming to watch in a much more relaxed manner!”

Well done to junior member Sam who won the U16’s G4 event in Welwyn this week. Some very close and hard fought matches on the way to the 🏆 👏🏻👏🏻

Our ladies teams are off to a flyer!
In division 1 the A team top the table, our B team have won two and lost two, with our C team having won 1 and lost 1.
Early days but it’s great to see so many players out and representing the club 🙌🏻

The Stanmore Golf Day will be held this year on Sunday 27th September 2026.

Last year was a mix of very occasional players, and some keener golfers. So, whatever your standard, we should be able to get you a good game. More importantly, it's a great way to meet up and chat with other Stanmore TC members.

U10s Girls County Cup🎾

Our girls team were on home soil at Easton for county cup💪🏼

The team of Anastasia, Esmee, Ionna, Emily and Eva faced Middlesex, Suffolk and Bedfordshire over the two days🤝

Day one started with a match up vs Middlesex. The girls showed great fight across the courts, Esmee taking her singles to a third set tiebreak👏🏻 Middlesex, however, showed their quality to win the tie.

Local rivals Suffolk were up next. Once again the girls gave their all, Esmee losing out 10-12 in an epic third set tiebreak in her singles. Suffolk winning the tie.

On Sunday the girls faced Bedfordshire in a straight shootout for 3rd/4th place.

Emily got the team off to a flyer, losing just one game at No.4🔥Esmee then got a victory at No.2👏🏻
Meanwhile, Anastasia and Ioanna were in third set battles on their courts, Anastasia narrowly losing out 11-13, but Ioanna managed to get over the line to win 10-7 at No.1🙌🏻 3-1 Norfolk after singles✨

Needing just one win out of the two doubles matches, Emily & Esmee teamed up at No.2, securing a comfortable straight sets W, to clinch the win for Norfolk🥳 Eva & Ioanna then teamed up to add the finishing touches to a great day for the girls, a 5-1 victory💥

The girls competed well vs tough opposition, especially in conditions they are not used to on the clay at Easton👏🏻
