The second set of our Autumn Gradings are coming up soon:

Junior & Adult Kyu Gradings – Saturday 12th September
Junior & Adult Kyu Gradings and SEN Grading – Sunday 13th September

The booking deadline for these gradings is next Wednesday at 11:30pm.
Please make sure you book before the deadline if you are planning on grading.

In today’s Instructor Training session, we practised Kihon Kata in different ways to challenge the mind, before developing our own Tokui Kata. 🥋🧠

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars for our SEN Karate Class!

We’re incredibly proud that our SEN Karate Class at The Dojo has received a 5-star review following a visit from the Nansa DRAGONS.

During their visit, the DRAGONS observed one of our sessions and highlighted the confidence, self-belief and sense of achievement that our students gain through their karate.

The review also recognised the importance of structure, individual support and allowing parents and family members to be part of the experience.

A fantastic reflection of what our SEN Class is all about. 🥋

In today’s Instructor Training, we looked at self-defence by developing our understanding of different locks and holds, and how they can be applied effectively and safely.

A great session exploring control, positioning and practical application, while continuing to develop our knowledge.

Great weather, plenty of games, and good company made for a brilliant day. It was great to see everyone enjoying themselves and spending time together.
