The 2026 WTKO Summer Camp in Nagano, Japan, was an unforgettable experience. However, the true highlight was spending time together.

After four days of intense training in somewhat humid conditions, the 2026 WTKO Summer Camp in Nagano, Japan, has concluded.

Thank you to John sensei, Scott sensei, Yanti sensei and especially Richard sensei for all your hard work to make this wonderful experience possible.

Let’s do it all again next year 👊

Dan sensei had the privilege to present Doug with his Sandan certificate following his successful test in February.

On Sunday 19th April, Dan sensei along with Darren, Simon, Nat, Evert, Johnathan, Liam, George and Rachael travelled across the country to Manchester for four wonderful hours of world-class tuition from Sensei Richard Amos, 8th Dan WTKO Chief Instructor.

Training with Richard Sensei is always a pleasure and the four hours flew by!

We appreciate Colin Needham’s hosting and eagerly anticipate seeing Sensei again in Japan soon. 🏯🥋👊🎌

With over 200 people on the floor, it was a truly special event. It was wonderful to see so many different clubs and associations, all coming together for the same purpose. Even more meaningful knowing that all proceeds will be donated to charities supporting Motor Neurone Disease and Dementia.

Well done to Nat, Simon, Steve, Liam and George for supporting such a great event 💪🥋👊

A huge congratulations to Doug Jones who passed Sandan (3rd Dan) last night with WTKO Chief Instructor Sensei Richard Amos 8th Dan.

Doug was throughly tested on all aspects of karate during a gruelling 90 minute class and performed at a level worthy of any Sandan!

Everybody at Shotokan Karate Norwich is extremely proud of you Doug - We all know the effort and dedication you have put into the process over the last 18 months.
