Every week, 12 young people in the UK sadly lose their lives due to undetected heart conditions.

As a club, everyone at the Wasps has had the opportunity to undergo a screening assessment and, where required, a follow-up heart scan. These simple checks can be life-saving.

Many of those affected show no symptoms at all, which is why early detection is so important. With greater access to screening, many of these tragedies could potentially be prevented.

We urge the Government to introduce ECG heart screenings for all young people from the age of 14.

Witton Wasps U15s are recruiting ahead of next season as we move into U16s

We compete in the Mid Cheshire Youth League – Division 2, and are looking to strengthen the squad with players ready for the next step.

We’ll be training throughout the summer and taking part in summer tournaments, so it’s a great time to get involved and settle into the team.

A scrappy game in terrible conditions today, which made it difficult for both teams to really play their football. But the lads dug in, showed the character we expect and we’ll happily take the three points.

The Wasps entertained league leaders Barnton this morning, who arrived with a flawless 12 wins from 12 league record. With a local derby and school bragging rights on the line, lots were at stake.

Quite simply, we were superb.
