It’s been crazy busy back in London since I came back from GatecrasherJam Scotland. But I wanted to at least post this update.

The Aberdeen and Edinburgh videos are still being edited (no luxury of long train journeys with time to work) but they will get done!

Drumbrae Edinburgh you were MAGNIFICENT. A fitting end to my Scottish tour. Thank you SO much, and a special thanks to Mo, who made me and Zac feel so welcome.

Aberdeen Jammers you absolute beauties!! Thank you for the incredible class today.

SO good to see you in the flesh after a decade. (We had the longest of hugs 💜) and for getting the studio all rigged up with those awesome lights 🤩🤩

I have a CONFESSION

I found the first three months of 2023 extremely challenging. I wasn’t feeling great and didn’t have much motivation, but pushed myself and just carried on as normal.

At the end of February, I did GatecrasherJam Hertford. It was amazing and I loved every second. But the very next day, I tanked. I was then beset with illness and injury, eventually getting Covid. I was just about functioning at work, in my classes, at home. My mood was approaching low-level depression, anxiety, and for no reason, much anger. I tried to keep it away from my son as much as possible.

What? Really? You couldn’t tell?? Well no. Social media only shows you what that person wants you to see. And it was all sunshine, rainbows and unicorns, right? But you only need to speak to my husband to confirm this. He bore the brunt of it. But yes, I completely lost my mojo.

And then came Marrakech in the company of Good Friends, and Madrid with just with my men. Which lifted me and slowly, slowly… I pulled myself together, and things started getting better. I could think about GatecrasherJam again; the motivation to try and finish what I started, getting the money in for my charities, came back. I think I am approaching the “powered by Duracell” stage again, as a dear friend once described me.

Scotland, I’m giddy with excitement. I need your help to keep me up there, as I’m going to give you all of me. See you soon 💜💜💜
