Final Match Report

Northampton Warriors are proud to have successfully hosted and completed Season 2 of the District Cup, Northampton. It was a fantastic tournament filled with great cricket, sportsmanship and community spirit.

In the final, Moulvibazar District posted 108/1 in 14 overs, led by an excellent unbeaten 51 off 38 balls from Azm Jonny, with Ashraful contributing 24 and Farhan finishing unbeaten on 21.

Sunamganj District chased down the target in 13.1 overs, reaching 109/4 to win by 6 wickets.

The star of the final was Sadiq Bari, who played a superb unbeaten 48 off 29 balls and was deservedly named MVP of the final. Jahan supported him with a crucial 29 of 22. With the ball, Tanbir took 3/35 for Moulvibazar district.

👏 Azm jonny was awarded player of the tournament for his contribution with bat and ball for Moulvibazar district.

Northampton Warriors CC are through to the Four Shires Cricket League Final! 🖤

Northampton Warriors CC put in a brilliant team performance to beat local rivals Rising Tigers CC by 5 wickets and secure a place in the Four Shires Cricket League Final.

After losing the toss and to bowl, the Warriors kept things tight from the start. The bowlers picked up regular wickets and bowled Rising Tigers out for 138 in 32 overs.

Chasing 139, the Warriors stayed calm and batted sensibly. A few good partnerships helped the team reach the target with ease, finishing on 141/5 in 29.3 overs.

Beating local rivals to reach the final makes this win even more special. A fantastic team effort 👏
