🏏 Reaping the benefits of non-turf pitches during drought conditions
We’ve recently revisited a number of client sites where we’ve installed non-turf cricket match pitches – and the benefits are particularly clear during the current prolonged dry conditions.
While natural squares can become hard, dry and increasingly challenging to prepare, non-turf pitches continue to provide:
• Consistent pace and bounce• A reliable surface despite dry conditions• Reduced preparation and maintenance• Increased playing capacity• Less pressure on natural turf wickets
A practical, durable solution that helps clubs, schools and facilities keep cricket in play – whatever the weather.

SNEAK PEEK: Ickleford CC
Blue skies above North Hertfordshire side Ickleford Cricket Club beautifully showcase one of our most recent projects.
Here we constructed a new 3 lane enclosed facility built to our TP5T ECB approved non turf system design. Featuring classic green carpet to the outer two lanes with the middle finished in our ‘natural pitch colour’ carpet and each lane bordered with the contrasting colour, it’s a particularly striking facility.
Green HD Protection Tunnel netting with green anti vermin skirts and white batting curtains, plus training lines woven into the left lane, complete the spec.
