I think you're wonderful. Look after yourself this weekend and make sure you do what you need.
I'm totally exhausted after a busy week working in so many hot rooms. I couldn't possible count how many times I've thought "I'm melting" this week.
I'm taking the weekend to sign off and do exactly what I tell everyone else to do.
Like I mentioned, I'm hosting that event next Friday so if you fancy two hours in the AC to recharge then you can find the link on my profile.
Enjoy your weekend and stay wonderful 💙
P.S. I've officially booked a space for an event I cannot wait to share with you... IYKYK.

This isn't your sexy, strong yoga practice that shows off elegant shapes and smooth transitions. This is an internal practice. And it can be a little messy.
One of the reasons I plan these evenings is because it's genuinely something I need as someone who works full-time and has responsibilities outside of those hours.
The movement is low effort, there simply to establish a connection to your body as it is. To notice that "dodgy" joint and adapt the practice around it.
Once we’ve let that frantic energy fizzle away, we’re perfectly matched for an adventure through Yoga Nidra. An adventure that includes your body and breath, along with your mind and intuition.
Creating space each step of the way to experience rest in your own way. Some rest in awareness, with an inner eye wide open to what’s happening. Others rest in sleep, allowing themselves to completely switch off.

You’ve just arrived home from a busy day. Your mind is racing. There’s been a lot going on and it’s consuming your available resources. You notice that so you start issuing orders to stop this. You mentally express your demands for your thoughts to stop. (Been there, done that).
A long time ago, I came up with a visual example of this scenario. I stand by it and I use it, mostly for myself, multiple times a week. I compare telling the thoughts to stop or slow down to wading into a river. If you marched into a river, could you redirect it? Could you slow it? Could you create change by standing there making demands? No. You’re probably getting slapped around by the water, struggling to stay on your feet whilst just getting more frustrated that it’s not bending to your will.
But what happens if you were to step onto the riverbank? The river is simply mirroring your state of mind. Step back far enough to notice what’s going on. As you remove yourself, you let that river do its thing. You can see if it’s fast/slow, overflowing/running dry or smooth/aggressive.
Then simply stay with it. Holding your attention on the river rather than trying to stand in the middle of it. Notice what happens. Maybe, now you’re out of the current, you’ll start to notice a little shift.
It helps me every single time. Even if nothing changes, it’s a moment where I feel like I’m outside of the rush. It’s a moment to take a breath before you continue with your day.

You already know the answer to this question. I think we all know the answer. It’s probably quicker for me to summarise this post by saying “PUT THE PHONE DOWN”. But that feels a little blunt. 😉
We all say we’re unwinding, end up scrolling for two hours, and wonder why we’re still exhausted.
