Yesterday, two of our Competitive Squad Judokas represented our judo club at The West of England International Open in Bath. 🐲🥋
It was a level 3 competition with exceptional competitors and of a very high standard.

Events like that give us a lot of feedback and highlight areas we need to work on – whether it was a win or a loss - our coach had a lot of comments for our players.
Medals are the tangible result of competing, but improvement and guidance to excellence are much more valuable.
Our team could not be prouder of the determination and hunger for the success of our Judokas!

Judo is an Olympic combat sport and martial art founded in Japan by Jigoro Kano in 1882. 🇯🇵
Based on throwing techniques, grappling, groundwork and controlled submissions, Judo teaches much more than just how to compete. It helps develop coordination, balance, discipline, confidence, fitness and respect - all while learning practical skills and having fun! 💪🧠
