A morning double dose of action for the boys today. As the Udder Guys take a week off to nurse some injured calves, the Mavs lads head down to Spencer Mill to take on the new incarnation of our old friends in what promises to be another classic. 🐂🐂💛🖤

Meanwhile the Bullocks boys continue their preseason development with a game against another side new to the Nene this year . Will today be the day the boys get their first result on the board? 🐄🐄💚🤍

Mixed bag of results last Sunday.

Injuries and some ill discipline (plus the predictable outcome of letting your club chairman's son ref a game), plus missing enough chances to win four games, saw the Mavs take a thumping from a very capable Weekley Titans.🐂🐂💛🖤 The Udder Guys had no such trouble, in a fully dominant display against a side who last season were 2 divisions above them. 🐄🐄💚🤍 Meanwhile for the Bullocks, the learnings continue as David Green Reserves took home the victory, but again with plenty of positives on display. 🐮🐮🩷💙

The whole herd is back in action today and the boys are buzzing!!

First up the Mavs return to action at KBA on the 4G to take on a Weekley Rovers Titans FC that impressed whenever we saw them last year, and who we anticipate we will be facing when league action returns! 🐂🐂🐂💛🖤

Meanwhile the Bullocks boys make the journey over to Wellingborough OGs to take on a David Green United FC: Reserves side that caused the Udders some problems last week at times, hoping to put down a marker and signal of intent for the year ahead 🐮🐮🐮🩷💙

Then this afternoon we have some Sunday lunchtime football back at our preseason base camp at Spencer Mill as the second part of our Weekley double header concludes with the Udder Guys, in good form, up against our old friends Weekley Rovers FC 🐄🐄🐄💚🤍

With the Mavs lads getting a rare weekend off, the focus shifted to two away trips for the other boys.

For the Udder Guys, a dominant performance made it two out of two and stretched their unbeaten run further still in what was a classic preseason encounter! 🐄🐄🐄💚🤍 Meanwhile, experience told as a classy Higham Vets outfit made their control count against the Bullocks, but plenty of encouraging signs again that when it clicks for this group there's a good nucleus to build from and results will come 🐮🐮🐮🩷💙

Last Sunday kicked off preseason in positive style all round - the buzz is back around this football club for sure 💛🖤💚🤍🩷💙

The Mavs were in total control throughout and banished any ghosts of last year's Hackleton horror show with a convincing victory, some well taken goals and stretching their clean sheet run. 🐂🐂🐂💛🖤 Similarly, thanks at least in part to the mean goalkeeping streak of .s1 the Udder Guys ground out a 1-0 victory where only a failure to be clinical with chances really prevented the scoreline being even healthier. Fair play to our pals AFC Hackleton always such gracious hosts and with players stepping up to do both games, it was going to be difficult 🐄🐄🐄💚🤍 Meanwhile a momentous occasion as a number of young players, and some not-so-young made their debut at Spencer Mill as a Mavs XI of would-be Bullocks took on a tough and clinical Revelation Wariyahs side 🐮🐮🐮🩷💙
