If this isn't motivation, I don't know what is! 👏
These clips show Tracey's progress over the summer and just how far she's come through consistent hard work and dedication.
Tracey started training with me a couple of years ago with the goal of getting stronger, improving her body composition, and achieving her first pull-up. Fast forward to today, and she's not only achieved that goal but is continuing to build her pull-up strength and increase her reps. 💪
Today we even progressed onto weighted dips, something that would have seemed a long way off when she first started. Since combining Personal Training with the group calisthenics sessions, her strength, confidence, and skill development have gone from strength to strength.
What I admire most about Tracey is that she leads by example. She enjoys staying active with her family and shows that strength training and calisthenics isn't just for men. She's proof that with consistency, patience, and the right support, incredible progress is possible at any stage of your fitness journey.
Amazing work Tracey, you've earned every bit of it! 👏🔥

31k Progressive Run 🏃♂️
This one was tough! Had to increase the pace every 10k, which definitely made things a lot more challenging 🥵😤
My final run over 30k in this training block and I'm really happy with how it went. Feeling much stronger this week compared to last week when I was still recovering from our holiday 😂
With the summer holidays now over, I can finally get back into a more consistent routine and fully focus on preparing for the event which is only a few weeks away! I'm genuinely looking forward to race day now.

Paris Eurocamp Trip 🇫🇷
Our first time doing a family trip like this and driving to France. Despite a few dramas along the way, we eventually made it and had an amazing time.
I definitely needed the break. While holidays with young children are usually more fun-packed than relaxing, it was great to spend some quality time together as a family and make memories that we'll always look back on.
We explored Disneyland, ate far too many French pastries, enjoyed plenty of good coffee, made the most of the sunshine, and took full advantage of everything Eurocamp had to offer.
A fantastic trip with my favourite team 👨👩👧👧
P.S. I saved the best clip until last 😂
30km run - another milestone reached 🙌
Today was my longest run so far of this training block, and there’s now just one more longer run in a couple of weeks before I start to taper down.
The big 30k… which sounds pretty daunting 😂
This week’s training has been more of a struggle than usual as I’ve been recovering from a bug, and I don’t think the heat has helped anyone sleep particularly well either.
Not one to make excuses though, so we got it done regardless.
It definitely got tougher as the heat picked up, and towards the end I had to keep moving at a steady pace to stop the cramps from setting in. But I’m really happy to have run further than I ever have before and managed to maintain a good pace throughout.
It’s making me realise just how tough the challenge is going to be, but I’m looking forward to getting it done! 💪
The big day is getting closer now, so I’m also going to start pushing the fundraising a little more.
If you’d like to support me and donate to MIND, I’d really appreciate it 🙏 Every donation helps.
I never wanted to be the biggest or the fastest.
But what I did want was to be fit, strong, look jacked and be able to perform to a good level.
Because what’s the point in having the muscle car without the engine? 🚘
I want to be able to lift heavy, run a decent distance, move well and still look like I actually train.
So that I look and feel better for myself and my family.
I don't think you need to specialise in one thing to be good at training.
For me, it’s about having a good balance of strength, muscle, fitness and enjoyment.
Not being the best at any one thing, but being pretty good at all of it.
If you want to get stronger, build some muscle and feel fit again, drop me a message 📩

26k Run 🏃♂️
This was the distance where I got injured last time while training for my previous event. Looking back, I'm pretty sure it was caused by the impact from a big downhill section early in that run.
Today's run was a completely different story. I took it much steadier, paced it well, and felt good throughout. The only challenge was having to finish part of the run around the house while keeping an eye on the kids 😂 Needs must!
I'm really pleased with how today went. When you've been injured before, there's always a bit of doubt in the back of your mind, so getting through this run feeling strong is a real confidence boost.
There's still plenty of work to do, with my longest training run of 34k still to come, but today feels like another positive step in the right direction. 💪
