Earls Barton Festival

Last day of the festival - Sat 20th June.
The big event today is Earls Barton Carnival - a traditional event going back to the 1930s. (long before the rest of the festival) The carnival parade starts at 1pm , and goes down Wellingborough Rd, through the village centre and then up on to the Rec. Please note the road will be closed to traffic . There will be stalls etc on the Rec and then Rock on the Rec to follow with music all afternoon & early evening from local bands. And for once the sun is actually shining so hope everyone has a lovely time.

Today's festival event. Friday 19th June
- Midsummer Night's Dream performed by Tony Howes.. A one man show followed by an interview with the actor. Methodist Chapel 7.30pm £7 to include light refreshments. Pay on the door.

Today's Festival Events - Thursday 18th June
- Open Rehearsal of the concert 'As heard on Screen' by Earls Barton Music. 7pm to 9pm Methodist Upstairs hall, FREE
- Earls Barton Floral Society Demonstration by Emma Re*****on & Plant Sale. 7pm for 7.30pm start. Methodist Chapel. All welcome £8 for non members.

Just a quick post to all of you who are coming to the comedy tonight. Due to illness our support act Lindsey Santoro has had to withdraw but she has been replaced by Lou Conran.

Lou has toured extensively supporting Sarah Millican, John Bishop and other top names. Looking forward to a top night of comedy. See you there.

- EBUFC Presentation Day at Grange Sports Field . From 11am FREE
-Try Bowls & Tennis at EB Bowls & Tennis Club. 1.30pm to 5.30pm. Please wear flat Shoes for the Bowling Green. FREE
- Yard Sale . Various Locations around the village.10am to 4pm FREE
- Messy Church at Methodist Chapel for younger children with parents/carers. 2.30pm to 4pm FREE
- Talk 2 by Hilary Hillman. More Barton Buildings EB Library. 3pm to 4pm. £5. (this is a repeat of recent talk to the Historical Group)
- Country Disco Bingo at Saxon Tavern 4pm to 6pm. Small charge for bingo tickets.

-FREE Vintage Bus Rides every half hour from EB Library Car park from 10am . From Library to the Wickets. Donations to Northants Transport Heritage welcomed.
-Fairtrade shop & Cafe .Te/Coffee & cakes. All Saints Church Hall, 10am to 1pm. Meet Guide Dogs for the Blind. FREE.
- All Saints Plant Sale & Swap in the churchyard. 10am to 12. FREE
- Talk by John Bromilow 'What have the Victorians ever done for us' A history of All Saints followed by a guided tour of the church. Meet in All Saints Church at 11am. FREE but donations welcomed.
